Mercedes didn't exactly have road use in mind when they designed the CLK GTR for the recently introduced FIA GT Championship, but in order to meet homologation standards for the series 25 cars were built for the street. More »

It seems with custom 4x4 show trucks and the people who build them "more" is always better. It doesn't particularly matter what it is—wheels, lift, length, silly graphics—the more there is, the better it is. If ever there were a vehicle to illustrate this way of thinking it's this 6x6 1993 Ford F350 currently listed on Ebay. More »

Undoubtedly the idea of stumbling across a Porsche 356 in neglected but solid original condition is the stuff of gearhead dreams. The relative mechanical simplicity of the 356 and it's iconic shape lend itself perfectly to the idea of driving and enjoying it in slightly deteriorated original condition. More »

Jeremy Clarkson has famously contended that you cannot be a true "petrolhead" until you've owned an Alfa. For those of us in America, this presents an issue as old Alfas are increasingly few and far between. We've found one automotive answer to this problem that although strange should be expected—a Miata. More »

The 1932 Ford V8 or Model 18 has significant engineering advances over the previous Model A and the first mass market V8 to thank for its desirability in early hot rod circles. 80 years later, the '32 Ford is still the ultimate hot rod—growing only more popular with each passing year. More »

What do you do when the trusty 5 cylinder diesel in your 1981 Mercedes 300TD finally requires a replacement? While most people would probably find another Mercedes diesel and enjoy several hundred thousand more miles of relatively trouble free driving, the builder of this unique Benz had an entirely different idea. More »

There isn't a whole lot you can do to make a Tatra T603 stranger than it already is. These rare Czech made luxury cars came from the factory with a rear mounted air cooled V8 and a design that is hard to describe. Interestingly enough, the current owner of this T603 managed to do the impossible with the odd addition of large aftermarket wheels and a bumping stereo system. More »

It's one thing to keep a single example of a desirable car in as-delivered condition in hopes of cashing in after production winds down. It's another to have fifteen pristine brand-new copies of the fastest cars Ford ever sold become available all at once. More »

While we don't know exactly why this 1964 Chevrolet Corvette decided to set itself on fire, these pictures tell a pretty clear story of what happened after it did. Currently for sale on Ebay, this charred 'Vette is being offered as a parts car or a pretty serious project. More »

The fact this 1969 Ford Galaxie wagon is a two owner original that is still wearing the original coat of "New Lime" paint it left the factory with is enough to make it a somewhat rare survivor. Although this Galaxies original condition makes the car interesting, what lies beneath the hood makes it even cooler for the sect of car lovers willing to spend time drooling over a long roof land barge from the late 60s—a big block 429ci V8. More »

If you've never heard of an Isuzu Bellel, don't worry you're in good company. Although these little Isuzus were the first diesel car in Japan and sport one of the coolest set of taillights we've ever laid eyes on, they were never officially imported to the US. Accordingly not many people have ever seen or heard of the handful of Bellels that made it over here back in the 1960s. More »

A few months before General Motors killed Pontiac, Pontiac killed our dreams when they announced the cancellation of plans to bring the Holden Commodore Ute to America in the form of the Pontiac G8 Sport Truck. It's a strange phenomenon, but it seems old rare cars are always able to attract more of their kind whether the owner is conscious of it or not. Sometimes it takes a few years, but usually similar old rusty project cars have a way of attracting others of their breed. Somehow this trio of Hillman Imps, currently listed on Ebay, found each other at some point. Accordingly it seems only appropriate they are all being sold together. More »

It decorated the walls of a generation car lovers and defined an era of supercar excess. Several decades later the once cutting edge design is certainly dated but is certainly still the stuff of exotic car dreams for many car lovers. Anyone with the means to make their aging supercar dreams a reality would be hard pressed to find a nicer example of a Countach than this 1230 original mile 1987 5000 Quattrovalvole currently listed on Ebay. More »

Believe it or not, this insane creation actually started life as a 1991 Buick Lesabre. As you can see, this vehicle has come a long way from its days as a run of the mill sedan. Now it has the face of a Dodge truck, an additional six wheels out back and one of the crazier body kits we have ever seen. This "80% done" exercise in truly bizarre automotive modification is currently for sale on Ebay. More »

It wasn't ever designed to be more than a disposable people hauler, and the 1959 Oldsmobile is rarely included in a conversation of the most attractive designs the late 50s had to offer. Even so, to us it's hard to imagine anyone would argue that this 1959 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 Fiesta station wagon, wearing the same shade of "Russet Poly" paint it left the factory with, is anything but beautiful. More »

Because of their rare and desirable nature most 1969 Ford Boss 429 Mustangs have been transformed from track terrorizing beasts into high dollar perfectly restored show cars. Usually there is little left to indicate the gritty lives these cars led on the street and race track when they were new. Much to our amazement and delight this Wimbledon White Boss 429, currently listed on Ebay, is completely original and looks like it is still ready to race. More »

When gasser style cars started appearing at drag strips in the late 50s, they were like nothing anyone had ever seen. They were stripped down hot rods with big engines, wild paint jobs and a weird stance—thanks to the straight front axles that were installed up front to improve traction off the line. More »

We don't claim to be zombie apocalypse experts, but we do know if it happens prop guns and an old Isuzu probably isn't going to be a very helpful combination. That certainly isn't what the seller of this 1994 Amigo would have you believe. It's currently listed on Ebay as a vehicle that will "have you ready for the impending zombie apocalypse". More »

In 1955 Volkswagen Transporters were nothing more than commercial vehicles, albeit strange and relatively rare commercial vehicles—at least in the US. Volkswagen hadn't yet captured American hearts with their clever advertising and few people even knew what they were. Even so, a few Volkswagens did make it over to this country that year, like this Panel Bus currently listed on Ebay. More »

It might seem hard to believe a 25 year old Ford is still faster than a Ferrari Enzo, but this is far from a run of the mill mid 80s Ford. For those unfamiliar with the RS200 Evolution, this ultra rare four wheel drive 600hp monster was originally built by Ford Motorsports in England for competition in the legendarily short-lived Group B Rally class. More »

It's well known the original Corvette based Chevrolet Nomad was destroyed sometime after it was featured in the 1954 GM Motorama. Since you can't own the original this masterfully crafted replica is about as close as you can get to owning the real thing. This replica took the car's owner and creator over 7 years and almost $400,000 to build and now the amazing result is listed for sale on Ebay. More »

Considering vintage Cadillacs are rarely the first choice for a hot rod platform, it's hard to believe this is the second old Caddy sedan we've seen with a Cummins diesel where it's factory V8 once was. While the other diesel Cadillac sedan we saw was a SEMA show car, this 1960 Cadillac currently listed on Ebay is pure ratty hot rod. More »

It may still have it's trademark bubble car shape, but there isn't a whole lot else on this Fiat 600 that is the same as when it left the factory in 1955. Where there was once a backseat is now a 170hp engine from a Honda 1000rr. Finding a mid engine 1955 Fiat for sale is anything but a common occurrence, but it comes as no surprise when it we do find one it's for sale on Ebay. More »

Laying eyes on any International Travelall in excellent condition is a rare treat on its own, but this is far from just any International Travelall. This particular 4x4 was built to late actor John Wayne's custom specifications for use on his ranch. If putting the Duke's Travelall in your garage seems like an appealing proposition the truck is currently listed on Ebay, but be prepared to have a showdown with the staggering seven figure asking price. More »
