Proof a fire hydrant can lift a car into the air

The driver of a presumed-stolen Toyota Camry lost control and careened into a fire hydrant in San Diego earlier this month, releasing enough water to hold the car aloft for over an hour.

The driver and passenger of the vehicle fled the scene, likely sensing that hanging out in a stolen car that's sitting high ten feet in the air isn't the best idea. They are wanted for hit-and-run.

More than an hour passed with the car in this state, only crashing down when the city water department succeeded in shutting off the water.
