Midafternoon last Wednesday, Top Gear USA host Eric Stromer's Toyota Camry Hybrid flipped after being hit from behind while traveling through the streets of Hollywood. The blow slid the car up onto a curb and the car rolled up onto it's passenger side. A decidedly stoic palm tree put a stop to the proceedings although no air bags whatsoever were deployed. More »

Well folks, we've now heard from two separate sources that the reasonably-priced car that Adam Carolla, Tanner Foust and Eric Stromer will drop stars behind the wheel of will be none other than the Kia Rio. But that's not all we've learned. Our sources also tell us the first two stars to sit behind the wheel will be the Dealin' Howie Mandel and Spice Girl Melanie B. And with that choice, the producers have now set aside any questions about whether they'll be kowtowing to the needs of the network. Among the personalities planned for Top Gear USA, Eric Stromer is the "who?" among the three. So when he made an appearance on Adam Carolla's radio show, our ears perked up. After listening to the broadcast, we learned the plan for the show is not to do an American version of the British programme, but rather to recreate the British version with American actors. We also find out Stromer was the last to be chosen, after Carolla, and Tanner Foust, and that he will remain on his old show while working on Top Gear. The last thing we find out?
