Detroit Lions' Nate Burleson Scores Year Of Free Pizza After Car CrashS

Talk about turning tragedy into triumph. After breaking his arm in a car crash while trying to rescue two pizzas, Detroit Lions receiver Nate Burleson will get free DiGiorno pizza for a year. Sweet.

Burleson, who crashed his GMC Yukon last month while reaching to save falling pizza boxes, revealed on Twitter Sunday that he was sent a year's supply of coupons for DiGiorno Pizza.

According to ESPN, DiGiorno had this to say in a letter to Burleson:

"Hello Nate, We hope you are feeling better after your recent car accident and are on the road to recovery," the letter read. "DiGiorno Pizza understands the challenges that come with carry out and delivery pizza so we're sending you a gift along with a year supply of DiGiorno pizza so you can skip carry out."

The good news, besides this plethora of frozen pizza, is that Burleson may not be out for the whole season after all. He told ESPN last week he was lifting weights and fitted for a game-day brace on his arm.
