What's that now? No, don't blame Ingolstadt. This nose belongs to a Subaru Legacy that's been fitted with a kit by Japan's DAMD design house. Despite the mimicry, DAMD says the design is functional, improving cooling and aerodynamic efficiency. We're not quite sure who gets the last laugh on this. Perhaps no one. – Mike Spinelli <a href="http://jalopnik.com/240682/that-damd-audi-legacy" title="Click here to read more about That DAMD Audi... Winding Road brings this DAMD tuning-shop madness to our attention. It's a Suzuki Every Wagon (SUPER TRANSLATION POTENTIAL!), kitted to resemble a 'Sclade. That is, the DAMD Concept B Type 1 Every DA64W, which makes it sound more like an industrial cooling fan than a fly ride. Still, other than the eggcrate grille and chrome dubs-by-half, it's pretty much a stock Every. Oh, go ahead and let them catch you rolling tiny. – Mike Spinelli More »

In Japan, while owners of the country's tiny vans have been modding them to look like VW microbuses of the 1960s, tuning shop DAMD has already moved on. The company is offering a styling kit — dubbed Locoboy — that turns a Honda Vamos into a mid-60s Dodge A-100. Well, not exactly like an A-100. (Not having those round taillights is, unfortunately, a dealbreaker.) But you know it's just a matter of time before someone takes a hacksaw and some red paint, and creates one of these. – Mike Spinelli More »

Japanese design firm DAMD aims for SUPER UNDERBODY POTENTIAL! with its new BLACKxMETAL kit for the miniscule Mitsubishi i. The company says the three-piece package, which comprises front and rear half spoilers and side skirting, does more than just pretend to offer i drivers more downforce, it also creates chiaroscuro effects by blending light and shadows to emphasize the i's lines. So while the ground effects may be nothing more than an affect, they could help score an invite to that Bergman retrospective at the local art college. Groovy. – Mike Spinelli More »

Japanese tuning shop DAMD is offering a new package of cosmetics mods for the Infiniti G35 — a relatively new entry in its native Japan. The BlackXMetal package includes front bumper fascia and grill, a rear bumper lower valance, CIBE fog lamps, special emblems and 19" DAMD DD-7 rims and optional DSE exhaust. Of course, the most notable feature is that grillework and fascia, which splits the difference between the mental image — if not the actual one — of a Jaguar XKE and the Spyker Peking-to-Paris SUV. Whether that's a good thing is a matter of taste. More »
