<![CDATA[Comments from TheTooth]]> <![CDATA[Comments from TheTooth]]> <![CDATA[TheTooth commented on How Much Did It Cost To Fill Up For Gas Today?]]> Still way over $4 in CA... but still only cost me $10 to fill up my motorcycle yesterday.

]]>
<![CDATA[TheTooth commented on Dealers, Supercharge Your Dodge Challengers!]]> @tenbeers: Sweet! The last time I looked into supercharging it, they were still having trouble with the MDS system. Looks like they may have figured out how to solve that issue. Now I'll just need to figure out how to sell the "need" for this to the wife... since it is her car and all.

]]>
<![CDATA[TheTooth commented on Dealers, Supercharge Your Dodge Challengers!]]> Nice... now if they would just make a kit for the 5.7l Hemi in my Magnum R/T.

]]>
<![CDATA[TheTooth commented on 2009 Ford Focus RS Concept; Don't Make It Angry]]> Hate color... like car... love seats.

Ford hates America, so it'll never be sold here.

]]>
<![CDATA[TheTooth commented on Dealers, Supercharge Your Dodge Challengers!]]> Now if they could just make one for the standard 5.7 R/T engine in my Magnum.....

]]>
<![CDATA[TheTooth commented on "El Camino" Name Is Still Alive For The Pontiac G8 Sport Truck]]> @karoooszka: Actually, I think this would have sold fairly well before the gas crunch. The SSR was bloated and underpowered for as little as it offered in utility.

Sadly, the El Camino will probably fail to sell in any decent numbers because it's not really fuel efficient enough for the current market.

]]>
<![CDATA[TheTooth commented on Commenter Of The Day: Trading Places Edition]]> @Paul Y. -- Now With More Sodium!: Cool. I just ask because I keep saying that Ford should bring over their small Euro-cars as well, but I can't think of one they make that I would really buy.

]]>
<![CDATA[TheTooth commented on Commenter Of The Day: Trading Places Edition]]> @Paul Y. -- Now With More Sodium!: Yeah, but would your non-car-giving-a-crap-about girlfriend buy one if it were offered here?

]]>
<![CDATA[TheTooth commented on "El Camino" Name Is Still Alive For The Pontiac G8 Sport Truck]]> @TriShield: Agreed... this should definately not be a Pontiac. This should be a Chevy El Camino.

]]>
<![CDATA[TheTooth commented on "El Camino" Name Is Still Alive For The Pontiac G8 Sport Truck]]> I still say everyone will call it an "El Camino" no matter what name they attempt to saddle it with.

That said, I think the V6 model is a great idea. No reason not to have lower trim and powertrain levels. I just wish I could get the stripped down model with the V8... which you know won't be a possibility.

]]>
<![CDATA[TheTooth commented on Michigan Governor Proposes Lower Speed Limits, Removing Last Reason To Stay In Michigan]]> @Unregular: I've always called speeding tickets a "speeding tax". Everyone speeds and we all end up getting caught on occasion. I just consider it part of my tax burden and ignore it.

Honestly, my speeding tax has dropped to nil after getting a good radar detector... so that has brought some relief. Maybe she should consider helping the "hurting families" by dispensing good radar detectors to them.

<![CDATA[TheTooth commented on Algae Diesel Passes Final Exam, Plans For Weekend Bender]]> @rubicon_65: I still want to use fossil fuels because I like to see (and own) classic cars in all their glory. I have no desire to see numbers-matching cars torn apart to shove a diesel powertrain in.

I could see most new cars running on the SoylentDiesel... but I still want dino-juice pumped out of the ground for the existing fleet of cars.

]]>
<![CDATA[TheTooth commented on Iacocca Arrives At Chrysler As Bankruptcy Rumors Swirl; Time Travel Perfected]]> I know a lot of people don't like the crosshair grill on all of Dodge's products, but I really don't think this is a good solution.

]]>
<![CDATA[TheTooth commented on Algae Diesel Passes Final Exam, Plans For Weekend Bender]]> @Dearthair MacKenzie, Hoser, Esq.: It all depends on the cost per barrel. I think oil prices would stabilize with the cost of SoylentDiesel (I'm with Dearthair MacKenzie about renaming it). Basically, if oil prices get too high, people will opt for SoylentDiesels. When oil drops below the cost of SoylentDiesel, people will want to buy dino-mobiles.

<![CDATA[TheTooth commented on Our Lives Have Been Wasted: 1986 Cadillac DeVille Fleetwood Hot Tubamino]]> I love the Cadillac crest in the bottom of the hot tub. Nice touch.

This ad would be better with the Morris Minor chick modeling in the hot tub for it.

<![CDATA[TheTooth commented on Commenter Of The Day: MAHONEY! Edition]]> Congrats! I remember wondering what was on the mirror TV while watching that. For some reason it looked like Mickey Mouse ears to me when I glanced at it.

]]>
<![CDATA[TheTooth commented on "Borrow" Some Gas With A Flo N' Go Siphoning Kit]]> Looking at the product page, it looks like the only siphoning action is has is to pump gas out of the tank.

This would actually be pretty cool for the house so I could avoid having to stop at a gas station every 2 days of commuting with my motorcycle for 3.5 gallons of fuel. If I filled one of these up and stored it in the garage, I could avoid the gas station for almost 2 weeks straight. It would also allow me to stop discounting some cool looking bikes (like some of the BMW 650's) because of their really small gas tanks.

]]>
<![CDATA[TheTooth commented on "Borrow" Some Gas With A Flo N' Go Siphoning Kit]]> @sos10: Actually, you just have to not be stealing stuff from people in the US, no matter how the economy is.

<![CDATA[TheTooth commented on 66 Drives: Scenes From Western Roads]]> @hotshot2002: 36 of 50 scares me more. I'm always astonished how many people I see reading on the freeway. You see a lot of this kind of madness when you ride a motorcycle and split lanes in L.A.

<![CDATA[TheTooth commented on GM Invents Electric Deathmobile In 1973]]> If that thing will do 80mph for 75 miles on a charge, I want it.

]]>
<![CDATA[TheTooth commented on What Kind Of Super-Rich Car Buyer Would You Be?]]> Sure, I'd have a garage full of fun cars, many not necessarily worth all that much... but I'd also build a few custom cars. Tube-frame chassis, light weight, super powerful cars that I would be able to afford to push through emissions and crash testing.

<![CDATA[TheTooth commented on 1984 Chrysler LeBaron: Does The Continental Kit Make It Better?]]> @MarionCobretti: Wow... I love that the manufacturer made a RWD kit for the car. Even they knew FWD was lame.

]]>
<![CDATA[TheTooth commented on 1984 Chrysler LeBaron: Does The Continental Kit Make It Better?]]> OK... who started bidding on this? It's over $8k now (and has still not met the reserve). This is unreal.

]]>
<![CDATA[TheTooth commented on 1984 Chrysler LeBaron: Does The Continental Kit Make It Better?]]> @lowercase: True, but there are only 7 bidders, and after the first $3k, the rest of the bids are the same two elderly semi-blind people having their grandchildren wage a bidding war for them.

]]>
<![CDATA[TheTooth commented on Which Car Company Benefits Most From High Gas Prices?]]> Honda. They never put the funds into V8 engine development to make their Acura line into a competitor in the luxury space, and now luck puts them in the drivers seat with an entire lineup of what used to be considered underpowered cars across their brands.

]]>
<![CDATA[TheTooth commented on 2009 Pontiac G8 GT Stuck With Slushbox]]> @FightingChance: Those numbers will never improve if consumers aren't given a choice of transmission on most cars.

]]>
<![CDATA[TheTooth commented on 2009 Pontiac G8 GT Stuck With Slushbox]]> And GM wonders why they continually lose market share? And they additionally wonder why people laugh when they hear Pontiac is their "performance division"?

<![CDATA[TheTooth commented on Remember That Badass Bullrun Daytona? It's Been Replaced With A Fusion]]> @Adamskiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiy: Seriously, I could understand it being hard to find the exact type of wheel he lost, but I would think any tire store should have something to fit that era American car.

A fresh set of black steelies is all he needed. Yeah... not the best option, but I'd rather drive a 500hp beast on some pedestrian rubber than run the race in a Fusion.

<![CDATA[TheTooth commented on Jalopnik Mails It In With New "Top Stories" E-Mail]]> Not really useful. I end up with it in the background and refresh and read throughout the day. The only thing that would be easier would be a pop-up message for each new article or something, but I'm not quite sure how you would do that. I won't want a new email for each article.
