Offshore drilling requires a lot of capital (YES. A LOT!) and there's always the element of risk. Do we want to spend our tax money on rebuilding Iraq, the safety of our troops overseas, operating costs through increased anti-terrorism related ordinances within our boundaries, offshore drilling, or other big brother government programs instituted in these past 8 years?
