"This is pretty cool, and sounds promising.
The question to me is what is the cost of a barrel of this stuff??
If they're producing it for $75 a barrel, bingo, I should be investing in this company."
"@Wes Siler:
I'll buy you think it's more fun to drive a small car fast, but not that it's faster.
Are you the girl who cut me off in her Jetta this morning, about an inch from me parking in her back seat?"
"@Wes Siler:
I would gladly take my Mustang GT over this on anything but a small autocross course.
Real world driving, speed=straight line 75% of the time (unless you live somewhere more awesome for driving than I ever have, which since that's KC MO and Detroit, you probably do)"
"@Elhigh:
Foolish, maybe, but not quite darwinian as some were making it seem.
I'm pretty sure plenty of jalop readers have rigged up something a little less than "factory" on their rides."
"The Ferrari had the fastest times by 4 seconds, but they didn't choose it as the winner for whatever reasons, I didn't read the whole thing.
@MILESPX:
Well, for me the more enjoyable ride would be the fastest, being the Mustang (out of those two)."
"@42Fordtrucks:
2010 is the start of C1 based Focus production in the US for Ford, and it's variants will follow.
GM's best bets are hybrids and the Volt for that time frame.
The cash "should" last to see those times.
Cramer seems pretty clueless, he flops every week on the auto industry."
"I was unaware of this mystery underground?
Nice write-up.
I too had no clue the SE-R was still going, and can't even remember seeing a Sentra at all recently.
They seem to have gotten especially bloated looking."
"@mutedthud:
Are you sure that "foresight" wasn't just their "niche" from the get go, combined with relative lack of succes in the large SUV market?
They've been upsizing their products as much as anyone, they just don't have a V8 or real truck."
