"You know, they were supposed to build that M80 thing in my back yard...until Daimler came around and they actually tore down the plant that was 90% finished. Then they killed the Ram Van (best van ever) and demolished that plant too."

"@tenbeers: The ratings of years past weren't off much from real world driving, in my experience. The major problem with the old estimates is that a great number of folks live in areas and have driving habits that are not condusive to good fuel economy, yet they expect to get the numbers on the sticker, no matter what. Angry customers would continually complain to and threaten legal action against automakers contending "false advertising" when the sticker read 25mpg and all they can manage is 14."
