Thank goodness the camera came back into focus just in time to show the car getting air, or else they (news media) wouldn't have been able to give this moron the glorious fame and attention he wanted.
That'll learn him fo' sho'.

@KVHnik: +1, I was thinking the same thing, and also that it's not a bad thing.
I looked into one of these for the wife recently, but even being such a great deal, we were stuck in the used car price range.

There just aren't enough convertible police cars out there, so I'd start with an old Eldorado, *tweak* the egine a bit, and bolt on a rocket-powered drag axle for good measure.

YankBoffin commented on Scion Chooses Lackluster HD Radio For Its Audio-Centric Customers, at 8:45 AM on Apr 18

YankBoffin commented on RWD Subaru, Toyota Sports Cars Officially Confirmed For 2010, 2011, at 11:50 AM on Apr 10
Seems like such an odd move for Toyota, but a great thing for Subaru.
Also, last time this car came up in the news I recall that price considerations were going to limit the engine choice to a smaller engine, I want to say 1.6L or so, and no turbo options.
