<![CDATA[Turboner commented on BMW M3 Plowed Into House By Idiot Teen Driver]]> Buying, maintaining, and rebuilding my own first car led me to have alot more respect for the machine. WTF is wrong with "low maintenance" parents these days?

<![CDATA[Turboner commented on Jalopnik's Chevy Camaro Unveil Live-Blog]]> Fully adjustable camber and toe all the way around. Six speed manual. I need to be alone for a minute, is this an american car? I might just come back to the bowtie...

<![CDATA[Turboner commented on Cyclist Clings To Road-Ragin' Ford Escort?]]> @Mike the Dog: FYI, you're the only one who actually obeys traffic rules while riding a bike. Or, you don't live in Portland. Work downtown for 10 years, you'll hate cyclists, too.

]]>
<![CDATA[Turboner commented on Cyclist Clings To Road-Ragin' Ford Escort?]]> Ha, saw this on the news before I left for work yesterday. Ironically, there was another car/bike incident here in SE PDX, only the cyclist merely T-boned a truck as he ran a red light. I can't wait for the final battle between 2- and 4- wheelers that is sure to come. Bring the on the AutoBicalypse!

<![CDATA[Turboner commented on Mopar Dodge Challenger Drag Pack Finally Revealed]]> @family_truckster: Man steering, man trans, man motor. It's a man's car, evidently.

My only gripe is, where's the NASCAR/TransAm version? That would get me all plum crazy with excitement. A big, bad, musclecar that could turn corners at ~1.3G on slicks would be nice. IRS and adjustable links all around... Do it for the children, they are the future.

<![CDATA[Turboner commented on PUTC: 2013 Ford F-150 To Get Four-Cylinder EcoBoost Engine]]> @Mike the Dog: I'd personally like to see a resurgence in popularity of water/alky injection in forced induction engines, like we've used in aircraft for 100 years. Think of all the untapped torque in that bottle of Evian. Gas is actually more expensive than bottled water now ;) How sad.

]]>
<![CDATA[Turboner commented on Walmart's Botched Oil Change Destroys Your Engine]]> Ah, the risks of owning something you refuse to learn how to maintain yourself. FFS, no one even waxes their own skis anymore. You'd think, in the age of the internet, where there's a how-to complete with pics and excerpts from the service manual on everything from fixing windows to changing timing belts, people would be more resourceful. What percentage of car owners changed their own oil in the early 20th century compared to now? You can even wear sexy latex gloves to keep your fingernails clean ;)

If I had a dollar for every dollar I saved by maintaining my own cars...

<![CDATA[Turboner commented on 1966 Jaguar E-Type, With Bonus British Car Poll]]> Sex on (wire spoke) wheels. V12. No contest. I love Corvettes, especially the second gen cars, but they just don't have the same metavisual effect. Probably cost more than a comparable E type these days too.

<![CDATA[Turboner commented on Commenter Of The Day: Bohemian Rhapsody Edition]]> For some reason, that song always reminds me of my '63 Chevy II "Nova 400" wagon. It sounds good with a 327 and Flowmasters added to the rhythm section.

Now, how about that 4motion thingy as icing on the cake.
