graverobber- Same great taste, new low price! on Apr 30, 2008
Hey there Al,
From your business web site, I see we are in the same industry. I'm at G2 direct & digital, however on the west coast, so I don't feel any competitive pangs. Great "how-to" commentary today, things have been getting a bit unruly here as of late. BTW, very nice web site for Mint Advertising. Well done that.
Take care,
Graverobber

@Al Navarro: Then you're in luck! -VW(oA?)'s director of marketing is this smartass guy named Stefan, and at AdWeek a few years ago he specifically gave a talk on Cherry Picking small but awesome shops and how that risk paid off with more interesting stuff than the weak, bland, "Just Trying Not To Lose The Client" work that many big AORs turn out. Where there's a will, there's a way.

Hi Al.
I love your car ad reviews. Here's an ad for the citroen C-crosser that I find interesting:

Here's what I'd love:
To actually try and find some of these cars for sale and put together a shopping list with links to vendors/ebay.
Or, take the current line up and do a randomized bracket with it...and see who would win in single elimination (I know we have to get down to 48 to make the bracket even though....or we could take lowest 3 and have a wildcard 3-way for 48th berth.

If we're trying to cull/evolve it...I'm with the 75% rule people.
But before that, can the Gawker Hamster make a downloadable PDF of the current 50's write ups?

I wish I had a bazillion dollars...I would have bought them all in an act of charity to spare persons with some sense of automotive aesthetics.
And then I would have used them all in a Jalop staff vs.

@joshman:
Not as crazy as it sounds...some of the predecessors to the Seven were used as trials cars by Colin Chapman and others, IIRC.

Perhaps the only thing cooler than the car control (despite hoonage in an apparently high traffic zone) is the self-policing of commenters.

What I find most amazing is the relative lack of lock the driver had dialed in.

My favorite thing about this post is how the commentariat is mostly "meh".
Now, if it were some Saab 96s going 50, sideways...
(This is one key difference between the Jalop reader and the hoi polloi....btw, anyone else going to Carlisle in a few weekends for Kit/Import?

@Mad_Science:
If you're in Cali, you need to SB100 it, I think...
But let's say you and a friend build it in Texas or AZ or some other more kit car friendly state...
Again, you know where to reach me.

Now that's a one-liner worthy of COTD.
Though I think there are plenty of other worthy nominees in that Senna post.
