<![CDATA[MeDuh commented on The Horrifying Scott Kalitta Funny Car Crash Video, As Shown By ESPN2]]> I read the article on jalop first then went about my day.
It turned my stomach a bit but I was able.
Between something or other i caught coverage of the crash this evening. It creeped me out. THAT IS NOT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN- sorry for the caps.

then reading this (having had my dose of the accident already, so i didn't play the video) i was reminded in so many words of the "through the pearly gates backwards and on fire stuff. It's supposed to happen when you're trying really hard and you fuck up, not because your engine blew - which shouldn't have been too big a deal, those fires don't usually cause too much of a problem, and it most definitely shouldn't have been because some idiot put something solid at the end of a drag strip.

<![CDATA[MeDuh commented on F1 Carbon Watch Concept Doesn't Include Hookers]]> what do you mean "took his inspiration from f1"? he did nothing of the kind. he's simply cashing in on the cachet of the worlds most popular motorsport. there is piss all that says 'f1' about that watch. oh 'tyre' maybe.

<![CDATA[MeDuh commented on PCH, Superpower Rematch Edition: Jaguar Mark VII or Citroen DS?]]> The owner of the bar across the street form where i work used to park his DS in the back and i would pass it daily. Before that i just thought it a relic. but in person the combined coolness of the ground clearance when parked, and headlamps cocked to one side following the front wheels... well. In person one daily recognises how PCH the car is put together , funny gaps, different sized parts... plus a design that's so unusual.

<![CDATA[MeDuh commented on Caparo T1]]> chromium and mass production: what hath god and henry ford wrought?

]]>
<![CDATA[MeDuh commented on Caparo T1]]> sorry. i apologise for the above travesty exacted upon our language. long day.

point is, we're feeding the community its fantasy cars, not just "the jalopnik individual". For some of us, this can't not be in. Sure it may be a seventy-fifth wheel to many, but being the first instance of "f1 car for the road" that actually IS, means something. Just because ferrari likes to claim its engines are based on the f1 engines, and just because the maclaren had its seat in the middle, and just because the ______ has a carbon chassis, and just because the atom has exposed wheels ..... half measures kids!

]]>
<![CDATA[MeDuh commented on Caparo T1]]> @UDMan: Chrome? Hah I knew it there's a fatal flaw in all the haters and it's got something to do with a chromium addiction! Unless they can get over themselves and let our fantasy mechanics get to work. We could totally dial in a bunch of mechanical grip, me i'll take it out without any body work. pure.
