2010 Lotus Evora Pricing Will Start at $73,500 in the US

In preparation for the arrival of the all-new 2010 Evora into the US market during the first quarter of 2010, two Evoras are set to begin a 44 dealer Open House Tour. Following are the Evora's US market product content, option packages, pricing details and the full Open House Tour schedule.

All-New 2010 Lotus Evora Prepares for Launch
While Evora production for the UK and European markets has been ramping up for months to begin fulfilling their orders, production for the US and Canadian markets has yet to begin. Though the Evora has only been shown on a few occasions thus far in the US and Canada, approximately the first two months of production are already pre-sold. To enable more sports car aficionados an opportunity to see the Evora in person, starting Friday, November 13 two Evoras will embark on a 44 dealer Open House Tour of the US.

The Lotus Evora in Summary
The Lotus Evora will enter the sports car market as the only mid-engine 2+2 in production. Evora is designed for people who desire the exotic sports car characteristics of stunning design, exclusivity, dramatic proportions and performance. However, it offers real-world usability, surprising efficiency and a unique sense of occasion as well.

Powered by a 3.5-liter V-6 producing 276 hp at 6,400 rpm and 258 lb./ft. of torque at 4,700 rpm, the Evora employs innovative lightweight chassis technology to ensure all-around exceptional dynamic performance, in keeping with the great Lotus tradition. From its beginning over 60 years ago, Lotus' consistent guiding principle has been to achieve ‘performance through lightweight' and that's always meant all facets of performance including efficiency. The Evora provides unassailable proof of this ethos as the only regular production car in the world capable of accelerating from 0 – 60 mph in under 5 seconds (4.9), on up to a top speed over 160 mph (162) while also delivering 30+ miles per gallon on the highway.

Inside the Evora simplicity meets sophistication in an exquisite combination of detailing and hand-built craftsmanship. By using only the finest leather from renowned experts Muirhead, the interior is hand-trimmed and twin-stitched to create a beautifully tactile and visually striking environment. Genuine aluminum instrument and center console surfaces contain ergonomically positioned controls providing a purposeful drivers' cockpit. The leather wrapped steering wheel is tilt and telescopically adjustable, flat-bottomed to ease entry and exit and made from ultra-lightweight magnesium to provide super-precise feel through the wheel. To be fair, both the Hyundai Sonata and Suzuki Kizashi start at under the $19K mark, with the Hyundai coming in at $18,700. And both offer warranties they can claim to be superlative in some way. The difference? We'd actually be okay driving a Suzuki Kizashi.

For your $18,999 you'll get a well-equipped car (power windows/doors, eight airbags, dual-zone climate control, stability control) that's not un-stylish, handles above-par for the class, and returns good mileage and performance. But what you'll really want is the Kizashi GTS, which for $22,499 equipped with a six-speed manual offers the rocking 10-speaker Rockford Fosgate audio system (with Bluetooth streaming you probably will never use), foglights, adjustable seats and a few other touches that elevate the car into competition with the more expensive Mazda6.

If you want leather seats (they're nothing to write home about), AWD and a CVT automatic you'll have to pay $26,749 for it, which is still competitive with the other AWD offerings price-wise but doesn't offer a V6 or more powerful fourbanger to go with it. Having driven both we're not convinced it's worth it for most buyers south of the Mason-Dixon line.

The only thing missing? A good nav system. Suzuki has a great Nav system in their SYNC-like TRIP setup, but they weren't able to get it developed for the Kizashi in time for the release. It's coming in a refresh and will surely be advertised as the only car under $XX,XXX with navigation.

Toyota isn't releasing details on which equipment that $21,000 base model will bring you, but all the important stuff - 50 MPG combined and room for five adults - will still be present. Spending more buys you added luxury, technology and driving competence.

When I reviewed the 2010 Prius I found the standard, 15" wheel model had a much improved driving experience, on par with the 2010 Honda Insight, but it's really the 17" wheel Prius V, with its revised steering ratio and firmed up dampers that questions the traditional poor-driving hybrid stereotype. It's actually fun to drive and will set you back $27,270.

Buyers can add three option packages: the $1,500 Navigation Package, which does what it says on the tin; the $3,600 Solar Roof Package, which includes navigation and the ambient-temperature controlling solar sunroof in addition to remote A/C; the $4,500 Advanced Technology Package, which also includes Nav, but adds Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Pre-Collision System, Lane Keep Assist and Intelligent Parking Assist — basically it drives for you. None of the options packages are available on the base Prius, the Solar Roof isn't available on the Prius V.

The $750 destination and delivery fee is not included in any of the above MSRPs.

If we were to spec a Prius, it'd be the 17" wheel Prius V with nothing but the Navigation Package. That includes all the bells and whistles we'd want - leather, LED lights, fog lamps, nice stereo - but most importantly, it drives like a European hatchback while returning far greater fuel mileage.

TORRANCE, Calif., April 21, 2009 - - Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc.,
announced manufacturer's suggested retail prices (MSRP) today for the all-new
2010 Prius midsize hybrid, scheduled to go on sale beginning in late May at Toyota
dealers nationwide.
The third-generation Prius will be available in one grade with a starting MSRP
of $21,000. The Prius will be offered with five levels of popular standard equipment
combinations.
"The 2010 Prius delivers outstanding mileage, performance and advanced
technology at a great price," said Bob Carter, group vice president and general
manager of the Toyota Division.
Carter sees the most popular model starting at an MSRP of $22,000,
equipped with a high level of standard features, "This model provides more than
$2,000 added value, including the features most buyers want, at the same price as
the current base model" he said.
A new base model with a lower level of standard equipment is scheduled to
be available later this year. It is designed to appeal to the most cost-conscious
businesses and consumers.
Celebrated as the benchmark for cars of the future, the Prius has delivered
superior fuel economy and ultra-low emissions to more than 1.2 million owners
worldwide for over 10 years. When it goes on sale, the 2010 Toyota Prius will once
again set new standards for innovative hybrid design and technology, raising its level
of convenience features and performance to new heights, including EPA fuel
economy estimates of 51 mpg city, 48 mpg highway and 50 mpg combined (EPA
MPG estimates, actual mileage will vary).

The third-generation 2010 Prius will offer enhanced performance and
innovative design features. It will be quieter, roomier, and equipped with advanced
standard and available features such as four driving modes, steering wheel touch
controls that display on the instrument panel, a moonroof with solar panels, and
Intelligent Parking Assist (IPA).
The Prius is equipped with Toyota's industry-leading Hybrid Synergy Drive
and certified as an Advanced Technology Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (AT-
PZEV), emitting over 70 percent fewer smog-forming emissions than the average
new vehicle. A larger and more powerful yet more efficient 1.8-liter Atkinson-cycle,
four-cylinder engine produces 98 horsepower at 5,200 rpm. Together with its
electric motor the hybrid system in the new Prius will generate a combined net
horsepower of 134, an increase of 24 horsepower over the previous generation.
All Prius models offer Toyota's Star Safety System™ as standard equipment,
which includes enhanced Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and Traction Control
(TRAC) Systems, Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Force
Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA). Other standard features include electric
power steering and four-wheel disc brakes.
Starting fall 2009, select Prius models will include Toyota's all-new telematics
service, Safety Connect™, which will offer four safety and security features:
Automatic Collision Notification, Stolen Vehicle Location, Emergency Assistance
Button (SOS), and Roadside Assistance. Safety Connect will be available by
subscription, with an included one-year trial subscription.
Adding to the appeal of Prius is an additional array of standard convenience
features on most models that include automatic air conditioning equipped with an
electric air compressor; AM/FM/MP3 CD player with six-speakers and satellite radio
capability; driver door Smart Key system with Push Button Start and remote
illuminated entry; a Multi-Informational Display with an energy monitor and fuel
consumption history; six-way adjustable driver seat; power door locks; auto
up/down on all windows with window jam protection; cruise control; tilt/telescopic
adjustable steering wheel with audio and HVAC controls; color-keyed foldable power
heated side mirrors; dual sun visors with vanity mirrors; and tonneau cover.

Prius also brings many new firsts to the Toyota lineup. To help increase fuel
efficiency, the 1.8-liter engine is beltless, uses an electric water pump, a new
exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system, and an exhaust heat collection system.
Other Toyota firsts include a new Touch Tracer Display, which features touch
sensors on the steering wheel switches that are designed to reduce driver eye
movement for better concentration on the road; an available sliding glass moonroof
is packaged with solar panels that power a new ventilation system; a remote air-
conditioning system functions on battery-power alone, and allows remote operation
so the driver can cool the interior temperature for comfort before getting in the car.
Also new to Toyota is an available Dynamic Radar Cruise Control system that
uses advanced millimeter wave radar. The system also enables Lane Keep Assist,
which helps the driver stay safely within the lane, and the Pre-Collision System,
which retracts seatbelts and applies the brakes in certain conditions when a crash is
unavoidable.

Base MSRPs do not include a delivery, processing, and handling (DPH) fee
of $750. The DPH fee for vehicles distributed by Southeast Toyota (SET) and Gulf
States Toyota (GST) may vary.

The fixed glass roof is made of two layers of tinted privacy glass with a layer of transparent vinyl in between, which reduces vehicle cool-down time as well as infrared energy and ultraviolet (UV) rays. The roof, for example, filters 90 percent of the sun's heat-generating infrared rays and 96 percent of burn-causing UV rays. A thick polyvinyl butyral layer further filters UV rays and helps muffle wind and traffic noise by as much as five decibels. For added privacy and protection, a manually retractable mesh sun shade comes standard.

Fuel Facts
The 2010 Mustang is jam-packed with unprecedented content, yet it weighs approximately 300 pounds less than the competing Camaro and Challenger. This leaner curb weight gives Mustang a competitive leg up in agility and contributes significantly to Mustang's unsurpassed 26 mpg.

Mustang's available engines, including the GT's beefy 4.6-liter V-8, also are designed to use regular 87-octane fuel, allowing customers to save even more money at the pump, without sacrificing performance. Both Camaro and Challenger recommend premium grade gasoline.

The Shelby GT500
For Mustang lovers who prefer the highest performance, the 2010 Shelby GT500 offers a 5.4-liter supercharged four-valve V-8 engine that pumps out 540 horsepower and 510 ft.-lbs. of torque. Thanks in part to a cold-air intake system, lower-restriction exhaust, new engine calibration and revised gearing, the 2010 Shelby GT500 delivers more power while also increasing fuel efficiency. The GT500 improves its fuel economy by 2 mpg on the highway for a rating of 14 mpg in city driving and 22 mpg on the highway. Power is sent to the ground through a short-shift six-speed manual transmission with a limited-slip 3.55 rear axle gear ratio.

New suspension tuning and aerodynamic improvements give the 2010 Shelby GT500 sharper handling, improved body control and better overall vehicle dynamics while still maintaining a good ride and handling balance. Forged and machined 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Goodyear F1 Supercar tires, combined with the revised suspension, gives the car a high level of grip.

Customers can start placing orders for the new 370Z today, to do so, they’ll need to spend at least $29,930 for the base 6-speed manual transmission. The price then goes up to $31,230 with the 7-speed Autobox or $35,760 if you plunk down for the auto Touring model with leather seats.

There’s two options packages: the $3,000 Sport Package brings 19-inch wheels, sticky tires, front and rear spoilers, bigger brakes, the controversial SynchroRev Match system and the limited slip differential; the $1,850 Navigation Package ads satellite navigation, a 9.3 GB hard drive to store music on and an iPod interface.

Today also marks the start of a new ad slogan for Nissan, “SHIFT_the way you move.” Previous slogans used “SHIFT_” but with different phrases for each product.

Pontiac today confirmed pricing for the 2009 Pontiac G8 GXP will start at $39,995, including $685 destination and freight charges and $1,700 in applicable federal gas guzzler taxes. With 415 horsepower and 0-60 times well under 5.0 seconds, the G8 GXPs is the most powerful production Pontiac ever created and comes standard with a six-speed automatic transmission or an optional ($695) six-speed manual transmission. A $900 sunroof option is also available.

Final EPA fuel economy ratings for the G8 GXP are 13 miles per gallon in the city, 20 miles per gallon on the highway.

Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) today announced pricing for the 2009 MAZDA6 sports sedan will start at $18,550 for a MAZDA6 i SV, equipped with a 170-horsepower 2.5-liter I-4 engine and a six-speed manual transmission. Pricing for the 2009 MAZDA6 s, powered by a 273-horsepower V6 engine and six-speed Sport AT automatic transmission begins at $24,130. Destination charges for all 2009 model-year Mazda vehicles are $670, $715 in Alaska. The 2009 MAZDA6 will be available at dealers across the U. S. starting in late August, 2008.

The highly anticipated 2009 MAZDA6 is the first of Mazda's "Zoom-Zoom Evolution" second-generation vehicles, building on a heritage of sports sedans and sports cars that no other manufacturer can boast, and bringing a combination of sports sedan, sophistication, build quality and product insight not currently found in the market.

"This is the most important new vehicle Mazda has launched in a decade," said Jim O'Sullivan, president and CEO, MNAO. "Bringing any new car to market at a competitive price has always been critical, but seldom more-so than today. Power for the 2009 MAZDA6 will be available from an all-new Mazda-designed and developed MZR 170-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and a 273-horsepower 3.7-liter V6, as used in the 2008 CX-9, Motor Trend's 2008 Sport/Utility of the Year and the 2008 North American Truck of the Year. Transmission choices are a six-speed manual or five-speed Sport AT automatic with manual-shift mode (2.5-liter engine) or a six-speed Sport AT automatic with manual-shift mode (3.7-liter V6). I-4 models equipped with the Sport AT are certified at the ultra-clean SULEV level, and PZEV in California-emission states. All V6 models meet ULEV standards for all 50 states.

As it has been since the first MAZDA6 launched in 2002, all North American MAZDA6s will continue to be built at AutoAlliance International, in Flat Rock, Mich, a joint venture with partner Ford Motor Company.

Ordinarily, we wouldn't have given SwiftFuel a second glance due to the snake-oil style claims it makes. But in this case, the information came with a whiff of credibility thanks to a writeup by columnist Robert X. Cringely at PBS.org, including an interview with Mary Russek, half of the husband and wife team behind the company. Factor in the company's web site and a mention on Slashdot, and that's four different places you can find SwiftFuel on the internet. But is there any real information?

First, we looked at Swift Enterprises' claims about SwiftFuel, which are easy to spot thanks to the light-blue 20-point text on their MySpace entry:

• 
  
• Completely renewable with no petroleum: Fair enough, it's 100% ethanol based, so that claim seems plausible enough.
  
• 50% improvement in mileage over E-85 and 10-15% improvement over gasoline: I grouped these together since the math is basically the same. Still, this is a huge claim, considering that ethanol has only 75% of the energy density of gasoline. To achieve the required energy density, one would need to boost ethanol with another chemical or create a new hydrocarbon from the ethanol base stock.
  
• 20% fewer emissions than gasoline: You had me at "a 15% improvement in mileage." But the global warming benefits are certainly icing on the cake, and seem to point toward an oxygenate in the fuel.
  
• No engine modifications, additives or stabilizers are needed: In other words, you don't need a FlexFuel engine to run SwiftFuel, nor do you have to dump a quart of STP in the tank to keep from burning a valve. So, whatever they're using is chemically inert.
  

So is SwiftFuel real? To paraphrase legions of X-Files fans, "We want to believe!" But we don't. When Robert Cringely and the Ruseks swing by our office with a jerrycan full of SwiftFuel for us to test, we'll bring you more. Until then, SwiftFuel belongs in the same category as Water 4 Gas and the Tornado.

The 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8 offers an available six-speed manual transmission or standard five-speed automatic transmission mated to the SRT-exclusive 6.1-liter HEMI V-8 engine that produces 425 horsepower (317 kW) and 420 lb.-ft. (569 N•m) of torque. New for 2009 is a standard limited-slip differential, High Performance Red and B5 Blue (late availability) exterior paint and black hood stripes. The SEL is loaded top-to-bottom with every feature you'd find on the top-level Jetta. While we don't have a price yet on the TDI, we think we've figured out how VW is going to make it price-competitive. If you stroll through the features list, you'll notice the TDI doesn't get the dual-zone climate, the 17-inch alloys, premium sound or other features as standard. Nissan Announces Pricing Adjustments on 2008 Models [Dec. 28, 07]

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Dec. 28, 2007) - Nissan today announced interim price increases on all 2008 models (except base 2WD Rogue and 2008.5 Titan models), effective January 8, 2008. The Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) increases range between $80 and $170.

DETROIT - Pontiac today confirmed pricing for its new rear-wheel drive G8 performance sedan will start at $27,595 when it hits the streets in early 2008. The V-8 powered G8 GT will be available for $29,995.

"The G8 represents the next phase in Pontiac's commitment to bring seductively designed, high-performance vehicles to the showroom floor," said Craig Bierley, Pontiac marketing director. All-New 2008 Chevrolet Malibu Delivers A Lot Of Value Starting At $19,995

CHICAGO - Chevrolet today announced pricing for its all-new 2008 Malibu midsize sedan lineup, with MSRPs starting at $19,995 for the base LS and for the first time, a hybrid for $22,790. The Malibu continues to drive home Chevy's commitment to dependable, fun-to-drive cars packed with value.

"When we debuted Malibu at the North American International Auto show in January, we promised that its $40,000 looks would cost half as much," said Ed Peper, Chevrolet general manager. "Well, we've kept our word. Customers will see everything we've packed into a sedan starting under $20 grand and think there's a typo on the sticker."

Malibu is built to be the best midsize car in the market, having been benchmarked against the top names in the class and loaded with standard features that many competitors don't offer at any price. The design team focused on the attributes that mattered most to midsize car buyers such as families and commuters.

All Malibus are equipped with a long list of standard features, including six air bags (dual-stage frontal, seat-mounted side-impact thorax and head-curtain side air bags); four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with all-speed traction control; OnStar Gen 7 safety and security system with Turn-by-Turn Navigation; air conditioning; and XM Satellite Radio.

Along with the LS and Hybrid, the Malibu lineup includes the 1LT and 2LT trim levels and the top-of-the-line LTZ. MSRP for the 1LT is $20,955; 2LT, $22,635 and the LTZ, $26,995. All include the $650 destination charge.

Malibu , arriving in dealerships in November, combines fuel efficiency, performance and a long list of standard amenities wrapped in a design that carries the new face of Chevrolet. The base manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) for the all-new Jeep Liberty is $20,990, including $660 destination. Two models are available: Jeep Liberty Sport and Jeep Liberty Limited. The Jeep Liberty will begin to arrive in dealerships later this summer.

Saturn Aura Green Line - the Lowest Priced Hybrid -Certified for $1,300 Tax Credit

New hybrid starts at $22,695; receives official EPA ratings of 28 mpg city/35 mpg highway

Detroit — Saturn announced today that the new 2007 Aura Green Line hybrid's MSRP will start at $22,695 (including destination charge), making it the lowest-priced hybrid on the market for 2007.

In addition to its value-focused price, the Internal Revenue Service has certified that Aura Green Line buyers will qualify for a tax credit of $1,300.

"The Aura Green Line is a great value among the hybrids in the mid-size car segment," said Saturn General Manager Jill Lajdziak. "With a starting sticker price over $2,000 less than any mid-sized hybrid sedan and a $1,300 tax credit, it makes true hybrid fuel savings available to more people than ever before."

The Aura Green Line's EPA fuel economy rating of 28 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway represents up to a 30 percent improvement in EPA combined fuel economy compared to the non-hybrid Aura XE model (depending on driving conditions).

The Aura is assembled at the General Motors Fairfax Plant in Kansas City , Kan. , and Green Line hybrid models are beginning to arrive at Saturn retail facilities.

The hybrid system in the Aura combines sophisticated controls with a precise electric motor/generator mated to a 2.4-liter engine. The system delivers fuel economy gains by providing electric power assist during acceleration, through early fuel cut-off during deceleration with torque smoothing and by shutting the engine off at idle. The system also captures electrical energy through regenerative braking. The vehicle's hybrid powertrain produces 164 horsepower (122 kW) at 6400 rpm and 159 lb.-ft. (215 Nm) of peak torque at 5000 rpm.

Saturn's new hybrid sedan is based on the all-new Aura midsize sedan, which garnered the 2007 North American Car of the Year award. The Green Line features the same comprehensive safety package that earned Aura a full five stars in government frontal and side-impact crash tests, placing it among the safest vehicles available. The Aura Green Line is one of four hybrids that Saturn has announced. The 2007 Vue Green Line, which debuted last summer using the same hybrid technology as the Aura Green Line, provides the highest EPA estimated highway fuel economy of any SUV at 32 mpg.

In 2008, Saturn will offer the Vue Green Line with the first front-wheel-drive application of GM's new, 2-mode hybrid system that is expected to deliver up to a 45-percent improvement in combined city and highway fuel economy compared with the non-hybrid Vue.

A plug-in hybrid that has the potential to achieve double the fuel efficiency of any current SUV, is also in development for the Vue. This hybrid SUV will use a modified version of GM's 2-mode hybrid system and plug-in technology. A Lithium-ion battery pack, when ready, along with highly efficient electronics and powerful electric motors, will achieve even greater increases in fuel economy.

Toyota announced the base price of its new full-size Tundra pickup won't be the cheapest among its domestic competitors, but won't will be the priciest [Sorry for the confusion — ed.]. The company says the 2007 Tundra pickup will sport an MSRP of $22,290, with an additional $645 destination charge. That no-frills Tundra is a rear-drive, regular cab model powered by a 4.0-liter V6, all over a five-speed automatic. Buick Announces Pricing For All-New Enclave Luxury Crossover SUV

DETROIT - When the all-new 2008 Buick Enclave luxury crossover sport utility vehicle arrives in dealerships early this summer, it will come equipped with a long list of standard equipment, a suite of owner services and a price unmatched in the segment.

The front-wheel-drive Enclave CX starts at $32,790, while the all-wheel-drive model starts at $34,790. The front-wheel-drive Enclave CXL begins at $34,990, while the all-wheel-drive version starts at $36,990. Prices include a $735 destination charge.

"Enclave is a segment-busting luxury crossover that best defines the new face of Buick," said Steve Shannon, Buick general manager. "Its gorgeous design, high-tech features, functionality and roominess, coupled with a quiet and refined ride, put us in a great position to attract new customers."

Loaded with standard equipment

Buick's first luxury crossover SUV is equipped with a long list of standard equipment and technologies that are uncommon for vehicles at Enclave's introductory price.

A new, 275-horsepower 3.6L V-6 powertrain featuring variable valve timing (VVT) powers the Enclave. The sophisticated dual-overhead camshaft engine is mated to Buick's first six-speed automatic transmission.

Comprehensive features

A host of innovative features adds to the Enclave's standout position, including an adjustable front-row center console armrest with multiple storage capabilities, an optional second-row center storage console that unfolds to contribute to a flat load floor when the seats are folded (available late summer), a large storage area with an integrated well behind the third row, and third-row seat bolsters for added comfort. The seat bolsters deflate when folded to allow a flat load floor.

Chevrolet Announces Pricing For HHR Panel

Segment-exclusive model delivers unmatched functionality for less than $17,000

DETROIT - Chevrolet announced today that pricing for the new, segment-exclusive HHR Panel will begin at $16,750 (including destination) for a well-equipped LS model. Orders for the HHR Panel will begin in early January.

"Priced at only $200 more than an HHR passenger model, the HHR Panel demonstrates tremendous value to business customers," said Ed Peper, Chevrolet general manager. "The HHR Panel is a model unlike anything else in the segment, offering commercial customers and expressive enthusiasts a bold, functional and different vehicle - and one that delivers more than 30 mpg on the highway."

The HHR Panel features windowless side panels and rear cargo doors in place of conventional rear doors. A flat load floor provides more than 57 cubic feet (1,614 L) of cargo space, along with approximately 5 cubic feet (141 L) of additional covered, under-floor storage. Inside, the HHR Panel has seating for two and a large, flat cargo floor. Tie-down points are located strategically on the floor.

The LS model comes with a fuel-efficient 2.2L engine rated at 149 horsepower (111 kW). The LT model is equipped with a 2.4L engine rated at 175 horsepower (130 kW). With either engine, the HHR is rated at 30 mph in highway driving and can provide up to 450 miles of cruising range on a tank of gas.

Power front seats, a family of radios with MP3 capability and OnStar are available on LS and LT models. LT models also offer XM Satellite Radio, 17-inch wheels and leather-appointed seating. There is also a rear power plug connector with available 40-amp service, for a variety of specialty equipment needs. This feature answers the call of upfitters, who asked for an additional power source to suit their specialty vehicles.

OnStar with Turn-by-Turn Navigation is available on the HHR Panel, enhancing its value as a courier or delivery-type vehicle. OnStar Turn-by-Turn provides verbal instructions to assist the driver with right- and left-hand turn directions; and it establishes a new route if the driver needs to get back on track; for example, if a freeway exit is missed.

2007 Saab Family of Vehicles: Priced and Ready to Roll

DETROIT - Saab USA has released prices for the brand's family of vehicles for model year 2007. Consumers can step into the entry-luxury vehicle segment starting at $26,915. The line-up tops out at $43,120. Following are the MSRPs, including a $745 destination fee, for the entire vehicle line-up. Included in the overall line-up are seven car variants that achieve 30 mpg, as rated by the EPA, or better on the highway.

Saab 9-3: New interior inspired by classic 900

The biggest news for the 9-3 range is the new interior for 2007. It features a redesigned cockpit with new automatic climate control and infotainment systems, a larger instrument cluster with chrome details and new interior trim. The new interior bears resemblance to the classic lines of the first generation Saab 900, and features a new navigation system as an option.

The Saab 9-3 2.0T Sport Sedan is priced at a very attractive $26,915, while the Aero V6 model takes off at $33,220. Drivers looking for a little more diversity in their vehicle's capacity can get into a Saab 9-3 2.0T or Aero V6 SportCombi priced at $27,915 and $34,120 respectively. Those who long for the open air while cruising around town can opt for the Saab 9-3 2.0T or Aero Convertible, priced at $37,515 and $43,120 respectively.

Holy Toledo! (that's a production facilities joke, you're get it later). Dodge released pricing info on its new Nitro small SUV. The Liberty-based soft roader will undercut its Jeep cousin, with a base MSRP of $19,225 for the two-wheel-drive SXT ($20,735 for 4WD); the midrange SLT starts at $22,635 ($24,145 4WD). At the top of the range is the 255-hp R/T, for which there's no Liberty equivalent, at $25,310 ($26,990 4WD). Tack on $660 to these numbers for shipping and handling. The '06 Liberty ranges in price from $21,290 to $26,190.

Aston Martin speculators in the UK are finding that one man's catastrophic depreciation is another's pop 'round the bargain basement. It seems some blokes had been buying Aston V8 Vantage models to flip at a high-demand premium. The lucky ones likely made out swimmingly indeed, back when the wait list for the Vantage was over a year. But as Pistonheads reports, dozens of low-mileage cars are now up for resale, some priced well below list. It seems Aston production is catching up with demand, with a mere five-month wait for new-car buyers. Now, it's time for all good arbitrage boys move on to the next mark — the V8 Vantage convertible, coming next year.

DEARBORN, Mich., July 24, 2006 - The new, redesigned 2007 Ford Expedition is bolder, more comfortable and capable, and it will feature standard Safety Canopy three-row side air curtains, AdvanceTrac with RSC (Roll Stability Control) and a starting price below $30,000, including destination and delivery. In addition, the Expedition will offer the best warranty and roadside assistance package of any full-size SUV.

Across the Expedition range, manufacturer's suggested retail prices (MSRPs) have been reduced an average of $4,300, compared with 2006 models, despite more standard equipment. Base MSRPs for the 2007 Expedition range from $29,995 to $40,745.

Prices for comparable 2006 models range from $33,480 to $44,460. All prices include destination and delivery charges of $820.

The new Expedition limited warranty - like all 2007 Ford brand products - begins with bumper- to-bumper coverage for three years or 36,000 miles and includes five years or 60,000 miles of powertrain coverage. The warranty is fully transferable and there are no deductibles. Complimentary roadside assistance is offered for the full duration of the warranty.

"The Way Forward plan is driving our product strategy, which is founded on bold American design, innovation and creating real value for consumers," said Al Giombetti, president of Ford and Lincoln Mercury Marketing and Sales. "We're already seeing meaningful improvements in the resale value of Ford products as we launch new vehicles, add more standard features and content and introduce straightforward pricing."

For example, Ford is estimating that the 36-month lease-end residual values of the 2007 Ford Expedition will be as high as 49 percent - a 9-point increase compared with the 2006 model.

Since its introduction in 1997, Expedition has led the full-size SUV segment through innovation, introducing several firsts to the full-size SUV segment - including independent rear suspension, fold-flat seats with an available power-folding third row, Safety Canopy side air curtains and AdvanceTrac with RSC (Roll Stability Control).

For 2007, Ford has redesigned the Expedition from top to bottom, and made many innovative features and technologies standard equipment, including.

* A bold new exterior design inspired by Ford F-Series pickup trucks.

The Ford Expedition EL

Extensive research - including feedback gleaned from Expedition's 1.4 million-customer owner base - led Ford to design the new, extended length Ford Expedition EL.

With 92 percent of Expedition customers using their vehicle for vacations, 60 percent transporting outdoor sports gear and 84 percent routinely carrying more than three passengers behind the first row, cargo space is highly valued - especially when all three rows of seats are being used.

That led Ford engineers to stretch the Expedition's wheelbase and body a total of almost 15 inches to create an additional 24 cubic feet of storage space behind the third row - 130 percent more than the standard model.

For 2007, Ford has simplified the Expedition lineup to three trim levels - XLT, Eddie Bauer and Limited - and reduced starting prices an average of $4,300.
