In advance of a proper coming-out at the Paris show, Nissan released the press kit on its new Qashqai earlier today, with more details on how the mini Murano will take on small mommymobiles of the world in tribal warfare. It's definite the Q-ship will be sold in Europe and Japan, though a US release has been rumored. The European model will come in a range of gas and common-rail diesel fours — gas: 1.6-liter (114 hp / 118 lbs-ft) and 2.0-liter (138 hp/148 lbs-ft); diesel: 1.5-liter (104 hp / 177 lbs-ft) and 2.0-liter (148 hp / 236 lbs-ft) — along with standard five-speed manual and available six-speed automatic and all wheel drive. It's based on Renault-Nissan's C-platform, which also underpins the new Sentra in the US. It's also the first design from Nissan's new London studio (pints on us, chaps).
