What is it about New Zealanders that makes them so entertaining when they decide to do something stupid in an automobile? For instance, here we watch as a couple of hoonlings build a ramp on the edge of a cliff, cut the doors off a Ford Telstar, and then launch it into the great beyond. Is it the jaunty, yet entertaining accent? The fearlessness of bailing out moments before the car goes plummeting into the abyss? Or is it just the unwavering surety that what they are about to do is a brilliant idea, in spite of the huge level of danger? Preparation of the extremely bent '66 Plymouth Belvedere obtained for free by Belvedere Adrian (aka Plymsole) for the Arse-Freeze-A-Pa-Looza LeMons race continues, with the suspension and brakes functioning- mostly- and the 318 grunting out sufficient torque to turn junkyard tires into glorious smoke on command. The car is still being used as a daily driver by one team member, and he says the Project Car Hell stencil on the door gets a lot of attention from the ladies. Of course! Shifter Kart Hits The Streets...The Public Streets!
What you're going to see in this video is breathtakingly illegal, enormously stupid, and probably a bunch of fun. This is an out-take from the "Kartvader" DVD, a 44-minute romp through the night-time streets of Quebec on a two-cycle, 125 cc, 6-speed shifter kart, reaching speeds in excess of 100 mph. We can only imagine what that kind of speed feels like when your ass is an inch off the ground. Apparently cops in Quebec just loiter at the Tim Horton's all day; seriously, how'd he get away with this? [Youtube]

Dubai is no longer just a quaint desert outpost where car thieves merely steal police BMWs. Nope, the lack of proper law enforcement oversight is now showing up in more edge-of-the-seat ways. Because although taking a Porsche Carrera GT out for donuts and making sideways laps around a roundabout seems like a pretty good way to thrash a V10-powered Stuttgart supercar, it probably doesn't help so much with the law and order. Polish Hoons Roll Volvo V40 Station Wagon, Celebrating Kubica?
We're not sure if these Polish hoons were actually intending to roll their Volvo V40 wagon when they hooked up the video cameras, but that was the result. An unsuccessful attack at a turn leads to the driver doing his best Robert Kubica impression (wherein Kubica crashes at, instead of wins, the Canadian Grand Prix). It doesn't look as if anyone is injured — it's a Volvo after all — but we're guessing someone is going to be switched from driver to camera operator on the next trip. (Thanks to Marcin) [Tapespace]
