Bitchin' Bumblebee Costume Transforms Into Bitchin' Camaro!

The only thing that would've made the Bumblebee costume (pictured) from Comic-Con more cool would be if it had transformed into a Camaro. Now we've found another home-made costume that actually transforms. Head below to see the robogasmic video. More »

New Transformers 2 Clip Is Robogasmic, Megan Fox-y

For ShoWest, Michael Bay's dropped a healthy two-and-a-half minute load of footage from summer's upcoming smash-hit, Transformers 2. It features Megan Fox stripping, Bumblebee crying and Optimus Prime getting a kick-to-the-face by Devastator. Robogasm? Yes.

Bumblebee's Tarted-Up Camaro Body Spotted Clearly On Transformers 2 Set

We're already the first to have shown you Bumblebee's newly tarted-up aftermarket look (and again showing off that very newish nose and with Shia ), and now we're getting some better shots of his muscularly-modded bod sitting on the Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen set at White Sands Holloman AFB. We already know the look isn't any production trim level Chevy will be offering on the new Chevy Camaro, and thank goodness because it's certainly "special" looking. And — umm — that's really all there is to say about that. If you're interested, Transformers Live has some more galleries of some of the other vehicles (Optimus Prime, Ratchet and Ironhide) over there. More »

Shia LaBeouf's Passenger During Alleged DUI-Related Accident Was Transformers 2 Co-Star Isabel Lucas

The name of the passenger in Shia LeBeouf's alleged DUI accident in LA this weekend wasn't initially released: Turns out it was Transformers 2 co-star and Aussie hottie Isabel Lucas. If you happen to be Shia "The Beef," and find yourself inexplicably famous after last summer's Transformers movie and this summer's horrible crap-fest Indiana Jones flick, you'd be aiming high on the lady ladder too. Oh Beef, you know Megan Fox is going to be all jealous now, stewing on the set of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. She'll probably throw herself at you, even though you never had a chance with Isabel. You sly, sly fox. [TFW2005]

Transformers Star Shia LaBeouf Busted For DUI After Early Morning Accident

TMZ's reporting Transformers star Shia LaBeouf faces misdemeanor DUI charges after he allegedly made an unsuccessful left turn in front of another car this morning at the corner of La Brea and Fountain in Hollywood. The Ford F-150 he was driving flipped with such force Spike Witwicky's real life counterpart sustained an injury to his left hand that required him to have minor surgery. An unidentified female riding with him and the male driver of the other car sustained minor injuries. Oh, if only he'd been driving Bumblebee, he'd have been able to take over the wheel from young Shia. Wait, why wasn't Shia's trusty Camaro driving the young lad? More »

Transformers "Corvette Concept," "Z28" Bumblebee Get A Close-Up

Last time we saw it from afar, but now we've got the first close-up shot of what we're now told is a Corvette concept shot on the set of the new Transformers 2 movie, Revenge of the Fallen. The latest shot, posted to the Motown Muscle forum, comes with some degree of reliability given it comes with two new shots of the "Bumblebee" version of the 2010 Chevy Camaro Z28. That's right, our e-mail tipster, who also posted the shots on the forum, claims not only that this is a 2010 (or 2012) Corvette concept, but also that this isn't the "SS" Camaro, it's the Z28. Whether this mean we'd not only get a "Super Sport" package, but also a "special performance package" via a Z28 check box remains to be seen. UPDATE: We've also been told it may just be a package we can order from the folks at Saleen. But, we digress — if we're to believe the poster, both vehicles are getting some sort of paint treatment as part of work they're undergoing at the hands of Chip Foose. How the producers of the new Transformers 2 movie got Foose to step away from his work on "Foosical: The Musical" we'll never know. Hit the jump for the Camaro shots and some of our own speculation. Bumblebee, Shia LaBeouf Spotted Cheating on Megan Fox on Transformers 2 Set

Flickr photographer Zacklur got a shock a couple of days ago when he woke up to find Michael Bay filming a scene from Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen outside his bedroom window. An even bigger surprise was seeing Isabel Lucas (of Home and Away fame) riding in the passenger seat of the 2010 Chevy Camaro SS instead of Megan Fox. More »

Video: Bumblebee Shows Off His Newish Camaro SS Nose

It might be from a low-quality cameraphone, but here are the first images of the brand new 2010 Chevy Camaro SS-bodied Bumblebee from the upcoming Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen movie. In addition to the side shot we saw yesterday, this new shot gives us some full frontal muscle car action via a much improved look at Bumblebee's newish nose — which may very well be actual SS styling. And then there's the video — we can barely make out the sweet up-powered Camaro engine music. But the taste is all we need. More pictures below the jump. More »

Transform Your Ride By Making Bumblebee Your Very Own!

We feel like there are very few folks out there who enjoyed the Transformers movie more than one of us here did. And since he doesn't have the requisite cash for it, one of you out there may have the ducats necessary to purchase the actual yellow-and-black 1977 Camaro that played the old school Bumblebee from the film. Warnings are necessary, as it may have sustained some battle damage from a Saleen Mustang — buyer beware and all that jazz. Oh, and you'll have to wait in line for a "Bee-Otch" mirror hanger — we hear they're sold out. More »

Help Jalopnik Decide What To Wear: Autobot Or Decepticon?

Ladies and gentlemen, it's now robogasm time. This evening we'll be heading on over to a special preview screening of the new live-action Transformers movie with other auto writers — and even a couple of movie critics. Critics are interested? Who knew. But now we've got an interesting problem to deal with. You see, although we were disappointed to find there's no costume shop in town with an Optimus Prime costume, we were able to come up with a couple of options for attire thanks to our gadget-obsessed brother site. But here's the deal — you know how some days you feel like a nut, and some days you don't? Well — we're kinda having the same problem — except some days we feel like a Mustang-loving Decepticon and some days we feel like a Chevy-embracing Autobot. Thus, here's the question — which do we go as tonight? You decide! Oh and yes, the Autobot shirt lights up — so I may end up wearing that one just because. – Ray Wert More »

Transformers Movie Update: We Have An Exclusive Robogasm With Ironhide, Bumblebee, Jazz And Ratchet

The General took four robots in disguise to the GM Riverwalk this afternoon to show them off in all their vehicular glory and gave us the exclusive look at all of them — before they're sent out west to californicate with the stars at the premiere. Although we weren't allowed to drive or even touch the GMC TopKick (Ironhide), Camaro concept car (Bumblebee), Solstice (Jazz) and Hummer (Ratchet) making up the four Autobot alt-vehicle modes owned by GM, we did find a way to make sure Jalopnik got a chance to sorta touch at least one of them. Check out our galleries of the hot car-robot action in our four galleries below. – Ray Wert More »

Transformers Toys For Tots: Bumblebee's A Camaro That Likes To "Whip It" To Devo

In the cesspool of cross-promotions that is Hollywood, we can't think of any marketing opportunity less synergistic than the following combination: the Transformers live-action movie, Hasbro's Camaro-all-transformed "Transformers Movie Ultimate Bumblebee" figurine and Devo's "Whip It." Exclusive Transformers Update! Michael Bay Is Leaking Robot CGI All Over The Interwebs

We received a couple more pics this AM from one of our own embedded "Deep Throat" tipsters in the land of Michael Bay. And this here tipster got us some gems — how about that Bumblebee blaster above, eh? We've got four of the larger-than-life CGI and prettily-painted pics of the Camaro-y Bumblebee, the diesel-y Optimus Prime and of course, the — err — metallic crap-y Megatron in the gallery below. In General, Steve Saleen Is Open To Experimentation, Transforming Other Automakers

Steve Saleen, founder of Saleen, Inc. and customizer of all things FoMoCo since 1984, says that the niche vehicle maker is, "open to building specialty cars for automakers in addition to Ford Motor Co." In a recent interview with Ward's Auto, the sassy Saleen said, "It has to make business sense and fit in with our philosophy and appropriate branding, but we're looking at other opportunities and only time will tell." Hmm, we're wondering who or what he'd be looking at customizing next? You know Steve, just quit the bumblebee-ing around, and tell us who you're thinking about partnering with. Transformers Movie Update: Bumblebee Tuna?

What you got in front of you is Bumblebee, transformed into robot mode, spread-eagled looking like he's just finished flopping around like a fish on a dock. At least now we can see where he's hiding all the Camaro bits n' pieces from his alt-mode...apparently it's behind, inside and all around the spindly little skeleton he calls a body. We dunno — he's still anything but cute. [Hat tip to tr!] More »

Transformers Movie Update! Mommy, Bumblebee And Optimus Prime Are Scary Looking!

So seriously — we'd have never been Transformers fans if this we'd learned about 'Robots in Disguise" from pictures and toys of what you see above and below the jump. Above we've got what's purported to be a full body shot of Autobot bad-ass n' brave leader, Optimus Prime (courtesy of our friends at TFormers.com). And below the jump we've got a full-on facial of what used to be the lovable and huggable Bumblebee — a 'bot who now looks like he'd scare the shit out of us as young'uns (courtesy of our friends at the movie blog). But maybe it's just us. What do y'all think? [Hat tip to tr!] More »

Exclusive Transformers Movie Pictures: Teletran-1 Needs To Explore For Ratchet, Bumblebee And Brawl!

The way the story of the Generation 1 Transformers goes — way back in episode numero uno — the Autobots went-a-searchin' for some energy ito beat the evil Decepticons. After the Autobot's ship, the Ark, was attacked by the Decepticons — it crash landed on Earth where it was buried under a dormant volcano for a few million years until it went active — waking Teletran-1, the Ark's explorin' and repairin' computer system. Teletran-1 got the lay of the land and brought back schematics to bring back to life the earth-bound bots, with the disguise of present-day vehicles and stuff. So we're starting to get the idea that maybe that's the direction Bay's going for the live-action movie. These set pictures are the reason why — we've got ourselves an old-school Chevy Camaro above that'd be a perfect template for the new hotness GM Camaro concept that becomes Bumblebee, and then a click through the jump'll show you a Red Cross Humvee that'd be perfect for Ratchet and a tank that'd make a perfect Decpeticon Brawl. Exclusive Live-Action Transformers Update: Megatron Must Be Stopped, And Prime's The Robot To Do It

So there you have it — Megatron in all of his what appears to be frozen glory. We've also got another shot of the Camaro-rockin' Bumblebee fully transformed, as well as another picture of Prime as a long-nosed Semi and finally what looks to be "Team Autobot" — the Black GMC TopKick (Ironhide), the modified H2 (Ratchet) and the Camaro concept (Bumblebee) all surrounding a ready-to-roll-out long-nosed Semi (Optimus Prime). Looks like a fanboy circle-jerk to us! But wait-wait, there's more — click the jump to find out the names of all the Autobots and Decepticons appearing in the movie from an online chat with the producers held this AM.
