				Back in 2006, <a href="http://jalopnik.com/cars/news|-test-drives/driving-the-farboud-gts-168137.php">Arash Farboud</a> was snubbed by Ferrari when he requested a shiny new <a href="http://jalopnik.com/400068/exclusive-texas-man-rebuilds-15-million-ferrari-enzo-destroyed-by-eddie-griffin">Enzo</a>. Apparently they didn't feel the inherited fortune made in pharmaceuticals was enough to make him Ferrari material. Undaunted, Arash decided to pull a Deuce-move and thumbed his nose at Ferrari, building his own supercar. He pulled together the <a href="http://jalopnik.com/cars/new-cars/another-british-carbon-fiber-sled-farbio-gts-301290.php">Farbio GTS</a> as a proof of concept, and for the British Motor Show unveiled a concept car called the <a href="http://jalopnik.com/cars/concept-cars/what-hath-pharma-wrough-farboud-af10-to-be-unveiled-at-british-show-184540.php">Arash AF10</a>, a carbon fiber, Corvette-powered Enzo killer. 				<span style="float: left; margin-right: 10px; margin-top: 7px;">  </span>Ego, Dutch maker of "luxury notebooks," displayed their $20,000 Bentley laptop at the British Motor Show this week. The computer features color schemes taken directly from Bentley automobiles, and each unit is hand-built and wrapped in custom-stitched leather. Actual computing is handled by a 64-bit processor with 160GB hard drive, running Microsoft Windows Vista. Additionally, the company says the carrying handle was inspired by the door handle on Bentley cars, but a quick peek at <a href="http://www.ego-lifestyle.com/collections/">Ego's website</a> shows pretty much the same handle design used on all their notebooks. Oh well. For $20k they <i>must</i> be telling the truth. 				The IFR Aspid is capable of some seriously staggering acceleration, jumping from 0 to 62 MPH in just 2.8 seconds. That's what a 400 HP supercharged 2.0-liter inline-four bolted in a car with a curb weight of just 1543 lbs will do. Though, if you don't need that much speed, you can get the engine sans supercharger, which still makes 270 HP. That's still plenty of power, considering the bare chassis weighs just 175 lbs. But don't think that rigidity weight was sacrificed in the name of weight loss. IFR Automotive claims the Aspid is the first car ever to meet FIA safety requirements <em>and</em> EU homologation standards, making the Aspid legal on the street and the track. 				With an electric motor at each wheel, the UK-built <a href="http://jalopnik.com/364851/lightning-gt-strikes-the-uk-in-cgi-glory">Lightning GT</a>, unveiled yesterday at the British Motor Show, is said to produce a total of 700 HP.  According to the company, the Lightning's nanotechnology battery pack will provide a 200-mile range on a ten-minute charge. Those are mighty big numbers to be throwing around, but with precious little known about the batteries, it makes it hard for us to validate the claims without independent testing. 				When the <a href="http://jalopnik.com/398992/lotus-evora-debuts-at-british-motor-show">Lotus Evora</a> debuted yesterday, we were surprised nobody made mention of the weight &mdash; it didn't show up during the live press conference, in any of the specs on the web, or in the initial press release. The <em>real</em> press release on the Evora has finally emerged and, drum roll, the figure is 1,350 kg, or 2,976 lbs. Shocking. We were hoping for 2,200 lbs, maybe 2,700 lbs being realistic, but nearly a ton and a half has us shocked. Not only that, but a lot more options have us scratching our heads. Does this change the way we'll look at the little 2+2? 				Subaru has unveiled a threesome of high-performance <a href="http://jalopnik.com/365045/2008-subaru-impreza-wrx-sti-part-one">WRX Imprezas</a> at the British International Motor Show today, one of which could even be considered a 911-killer. 				Billed as the most frugal Ford ever, the 2009 Ford Fiesta ECOnetic is a special version of Ford's small Euro hatch. Powered by a 90 HP 1.6-liter turbodiesel engine calibrated for efficiency, the ECOnetic is able to return about 64 MPG (3.7L/100km). Perhaps even more impressive is the segment-leading 98g/km of carbon dioxide emissions, which is minuscule enough for the ECOnetic to avoid UK road taxes. All this tidiness is due in part to subtle aerodynamic tweaks, a slightly lower ride height, and low rolling-resistance tires. Though Ford is finally bringing the Fiesta to the US, there's no word on whether this particular version will be sold stateside. The focus of this "study model" isn't on the drivetrain, like the <a href="http://jalopnik.com/cars/tokyo-auto-show/tokyo-auto-show-preview-honda-cr+z-concept-car-308556.php">Honda CR-Z</a>, but rather on the lightweight roadster design &mdash; so much so that they don't mention a power source at all. Given the focus on low emissions in the press release, we imagine the two-seater would be paired with a small diesel if the car becomes a reality. Though there are "no plans for it to enter production," a similar car would clearly compete with the <a href="http://jalopnik.com/378346/ford-summons-black-magic-for-focus-cc-gains-%252B6-xp">Focus CC</a> and the <a href="http://jalopnik.com/cars/news/frankfurt-premiere-volkswagen-eos-125014.php">Eos</a> in Europe. We're not sure. 				Honda plans to go both green and topless at the <a href="http://jalopnik.com/tag/british-motor-show/">British Motor Show</a> with what they're unromantically dubbing the Honda OSM (Open Study Model), a lightweight, sporty "study model" of a low-emissions cabriolet. Does this mean it'll carry the same hybrid powertrain as the <a href="http://jalopnik.com/cars/tokyo-auto-show/tokyo-auto-show-preview-honda-cr+z-concept-car-308556.php">CR-Z concept</a>? Is this just a diesel? 				Turns out the Electric Green <a href="http://jalopnik.com/397867/2009-ford-focus-rs-concept-dont-make-it-angry">Ford Focus RS</a> we saw last week is more than just a show car. Ford has admitted the little green hulk is essentially the finished vehicle, minus some fine tuning. Now, depending on which side of the fencepost you sit on, an inline-five with 275 HP and 295 lb-ft of torque mated to a six-speed in a car the size of a <a href="http://jalopnik.com/395912/ford-reveals-focus-rs-details-photos-ahead-of-london-debut">Focus RS</a>, along with all kinds of fancy suspension trickery, is either a magical, amazing thing OR the obnoxious boy-racer bodywork rubs you the wrong way and totally ruins whatever genius lies underneath. 				Ferrari played their cards extremely well with the <a href="http://jalopnik.com/tag/2009-ferrari-california/">2009 Ferrari California</a> debut &mdash; it was stylish, it was measured, and it had the motoring press lapping out of the palms of their hands (a perfect example is today's <a href="http://jalopnik.com/397810/ferrari-california-caught-topless-out+of+doors">spy photo of a topless California</a>; see how Wert just laps it up? ). Lotus seems to be copying that campaign for the rollout of the pending <a href="http://jalopnik.com/360849/2010-lotus-eagle-2%252B2-has-landed-looks-like-batman">2010 Lotus Eagle</a>, but this time, the marketing effort is decidedly more creepy. The "FacelessPeople" ad campaign consists at the moment of a website with a countdown timer, and, more bizarrely, people without faces attending public events wearing Lotus badges. Gah! Heebie jeebies anyone? Apparently the "True Character Will Emerge" in about 18 days. 				Talk about having the right product in the wrong place. Ford will be debuting a version of the new as-of-now Euro-only <a href="http://jalopnik.com/356753/ford-fiesta-three-door-pictures-and-details-to-be-called-fiesta-for-us-market">Ford Fiesta</a> Econetic at the British Motor Show later this month equipped with a miserly 89 HP, 1.6-liter TDCi turbodiesel engine. How miserly? It's good for 75 MPG in imperial gallons, which gives it a Prius-smoking 62.5 MPG here in the US of A. Something tells us Ford would have no problem selling a few of them here, considering the tectonic shift towards smaller, more fuel-efficient cars <a href="http://jalopnik.com/397650/car-industry-carnage-us-auto-sales-down-188-for-june">we saw evidence of yesterday</a>. 				We've spent months seeing the <a href="http://jalopnik.com/360849/2010-lotus-eagle-2%252B2-has-landed-looks-like-batman">2010 Lotus Eagle</a> in get-ups ranging from an <a href="http://jalopnik.com/cars/spy-photos/2010-lotus-eagle-mule-327606.php">old Lotus Esprit mule</a> to an <a href="http://jalopnik.com/388071/2010-lotus-eagle-laps-nrburgring-continues-search-for-joker">homage to the caped crusader</a> with makeup and heavy camo obscura. Now, thanks to a single image making its way onto the internet by way of Lotus, we're now finally get our first idea of the Eagle's real shape. The teaser shot hints at a surprisingly Elise-like hood and headlight treatment. 				For those looking for the small footprint of an economy car combined with the RWD burnout capability of a muscle car, Toyota presents the Aygo Crazy concept car. Based on the <a href="http://www.jalopnik.com/cars/geneva-auto-show/toyotas-frisky-aygogo-034606.php">Toyota Aygo</a> city car, this one-off has a turbocharged version of Toyota's 1.8-liter four banger squeezed into the backseat (replacing the three-cylinder front-mounted mill). And of course, with 200 horsepower going to the rear wheels of a car that weighs just over a ton, you're not going to want power steering, ESP or ABS getting in the way. 				We shudder to think of how this saloon would suffer at the hands of Beavis, what with its 400hp blown eight, satin-finish walnut trim, and slightly-overwrought aluminium-type side gills. Nevertheless, the six-speed autobox would allow Butt-Head's partner in crime to travel with ease, eliminating unseemly clutch action. Plus, the mesh grill adds a dash of "Are you threatening me?" to the whole package. 				The Spaniards over at Seat (presumably with their Donckerwolke in tow) have released a tribute to their World Touring Car Championship version of the L

on with the rather Japanese-sounding surname of "Cupra." Looking something like an "If They Mated" rendition of the BMW Z4 and a VW Golf, the Cupra wrings 240hp out of a turbocharged VW FSI motor and features race-inspired suspension, undoubtedly like anything found in a Ford Torino Talladega.
