This is highly a conceptual design, but Webasto is going balls-to-the-wall trying to develop an ultra-light roof. The soft-top on the LigHT concept weighs in at a very low 28 pounds. The designers, the Italian Istituto Europeo di Design, is calling this the "roof of the future," which may be a bit of an overstatement, but regardless having a 28 pound soft-top is pretty nice.

The roof is made a new mixture of materials capable of the lightened weight. The car itself was inspired by the Fiat 124 Sport Spider from the 1970s. The Webasto LigHT concept will be shown off at the Geneva Motor Show. [Tuvie]
