2011 was the 10th year the Historic Acropolis Rally was held in Greece, and this year's event failed to disappoint. The rally community suffered a great loss yesterday when a competitor died during the third round of competition at the Olympus Rally in Ocean Shores, WA. Shown above before round one of the rally, Driver Matthew Marker did not survive injuries sustained during a crash. Co-driver of the 2006 Subaru, Christopher Gordon was not serious injured in the incident. Matt Marker was a national rally competitor and driver for the SubaRoots rally team. Racing was suspended Saturday after the tragic incident. More »

RM auctions announced this week they will be offering a 1986 Ford RS200 Evo Group B for sale at their annual Amelia Island auction being held in March. Pre sale estimates for the car are between $80,000 and $120,000 which doesn't seem bad for a Group B homologation car which can out accelerate any supercar of the era. The RS200 was recognized by the Guinness Book of Records for 12 years as the world's fastest accelerating car. It's hard to comprehend this much desire for a Ford hatchback. More »
