Long known for hot-rod sedans and coupes, Pontiac in 2009 released one of their hottest rods to date — the G8 GXP, with the power and looks that were enough to make you want to grab a helmet and go.

Features GXP drivers will really care about include the lack of overdone body cladding from previous Pontiacs, profile lines that are sleek and uncluttered, and a unique front fascia. There are also two hood scoops for a look that is subtle yet still aggressive and distinctive.

But cladding will be the last thing on your mind thanks to a Corvette-derived 6.2-liter V8 with 415 horsepower. That means plenty of rear-tire destroying fun — with StabiliTrak turned off, of course.

That's enough of my yakkin'! Check out the video and watch this Aussie import hold its own.
