Back when GM outsourced its small car development to small east Asian companies (oh wait), we got the Isuzu and Suzuki pair of the Spectrum and Sprint. Since it was the ‘80s, they got turbos, and they were fantastic.
Yes the cars were overpowered with 105 horsepower for the Spectrum and 70 for the Sprint, but just look at their wonderful long-throw manual transmissions, no-nonsense cloth interiors, and oh I give up these cars were shitboxes.
But stop listening to my hopeless battles with nostalgia for cars I've never driven and focus on how John Davis fails to mention the rad "INTERCOOLER ->"sticker on the Sprint Turbo.
