Ken Block Just Blue Himself

Ken Block has been running the familiar green, black, and white Monster livery for years now. To go along with his team's name change to Hoonigan Racing Division for 2013, there is an all new livery for Block's fleet of Fiestas.

And boy is it full of colortastichoontivitiveness!

The new wrap that is going on the cars is a pretty big departure from the colors that have been seen on Block's Fiestas (and Subies) over the last few years. The white is gone, replaced by greys (or grays) and blues with a dash of purple and red.

It looks very busy. It's the type of color scheme that would give Bob Ross a massive coronary.

The livery makes sense once you hear where the Chief Hoon got his inspiration from:

I'm stoked on how this livery and overall team aesthetic has turned out this year. With the name change to Hoonigan Racing Division, we wanted to take the look in a slightly different direction, one that has been inspired by my love of 80s and early 90s skateboarding graphics, as well as Miami Vice-era offshore powerboats and a dash of hair metal and old school hip hop mixed in for good measure.

So it takes some of the best and worst parts of the 1980s and '90s and mashes them all together on the tiny canvas that is the Ford Fiesta.

Now we'll just have to get used to bits of blue and grey littering Irwindale Speedway when a good drift goes wrong. But we're sure Ken Block ain't care about that with this new livery either.
