Traffic sucks, so why not start your morning off with some music? You provide the toast and we'll provide the jams.
There's pretty much no point in arguing that the highest point in modern music came around the late ‘70s/early ‘80s when punk, post-punk, powerpop, and rap were all coming of age and they were all hanging out at the Roxy together, probably talking about how they can use even more minimal synth arrangements over lines of coke.
The only problem is that the tunes are so minimalist that they sound a little hokey in today's world. Just look at Jacno rock the one-fingered keyboard playing. One finger! There is no way in hell that Mike Will Made It could ever set up one of his beats with one finger.
But you've got the killer shades, and the blip-bloop beat, and the rockin' chick singer doing her little dance, and it's all just so wonderful. It's like if Kraftwerk was made by humans, not robots from another dimension.
