Ah North Carolina, it's pine-scented breeze begat such commercial staples as textile factories, paper mills, and NASCAR. The Tar Heel State is also the birthplace of this Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera, which has been chopped up and converted into a pickup of sorts.

Robert, a trusty Jalopnik reader, sent in these photos, snapped by a friend who spotted the Oldsmobilecamino resting quietly next to a drive-thru.

As you can see, this one looks like it has been set up for dog-hauling duty, if the large cushion in the back is any clue. It also sports the fine leaf grime patina peculiar to southern cars left beneath trees for long periods of time. A true classic, and for those of you who didn't know (or didn't bother to look up) the definition for the word jalopy, this, my friends, is what jalopy means.

Who said Oldsmobile is dead?! If this reinvention is any indication, Olds might be on its way back!

(Hat tip to Jen!)
