This year is the 65th anniversary of Road & Track entering print. Feel free to insert your own social security related joke here.
In the past, all of R&T's archives were held in its old headquarters in Newport Beach, CA. That all changes this week when the archives are moved to Stanford University and the Revs Program — a project to keep significant automotive works together under one roof.
The Ampersand's archives are the latest addition, and they aren't small either. The 65-year history was delivered in 527 boxes and weighed a staggering 10,000 pounds. In "Jalopweight," that's approximately four Miatas worth of reading material. It probably isn't as good in an autocross, though.
