Name all of the Italian supercars that you can currently buy with a proper manual gearbox. Do it. Now.

How many did you come up with? Well, there's only one, and it's the Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2. Now be jealous as one drifts around the Italian countryside.

The Gallardo has been around for nearly 10 years, and other than a slight redesign and bump in power, it has remained basically the same car. And that isn't a bad thing.

Here, our friend Jethro Bovingdon takes the barest bones Gallardo — rear-wheel drive, manual gearbox — around some of the best roads in Italy. First off, this is awesome. Second off, damn him. I'm really jealous.

Now if they'd only turn down the music and let us pump up that V10 wail.
