Have you ever wished that you had an ATV, but held off on pulling the trigger because you wanted to buy a jet ski, too, but couldn't have both at the same time?
I'm here to tell you that your troubles are over, my friends. You can now buy an ATV that's a jet ski (and vice versa). It's the perfect gift for the supervillain henchman in your life.
Gibbs, the company that brought us the Aquada amphibious car, will start selling the Michigan-manufactured and long-rumored Quadski (it's been reported on since 2006) soon. It'll cost $40,000, but for something that can travel 45 mph on land, shoot into the water, and within five seconds convert into a boat — the wheels fold up out of the way — and go 45 mph on water, that's not such a bad price.
Weighing in at 1,300 pounds, the Quadski is considerably heavier than your typical ATV. It's 10.5 feet long, 5.2 feet wide, and 4.3 feet tall, with an 5.8-foot wheelbase. Not small as far as ATVs and/or jetskis go, but it makes up for the extra weight and bulk with a 175 hp BMW engine and a 15-gallon fuel tank.
It's also definitely more sportsman oriented than the space pod-likeTVR Scamander amphibious car.
