This Kentucky Restaurant Was Shut Down For Cooking Roadkill

We've all seen the joke road kill menu, which boasts such appetizing entrees as Smear of Deer, Swirl of Squirrel, and Smidgeon of Pigeon. But a Chinese restaurant in Kentucky was caught using roadkill in real life.

Diners at the Red Flower Chinese Restaurant in Williamsburg, Ky. were about to be treated to plates of I-75-cured venison, but a customer spotted a couple of kitchen workers dragging the deer carcass into the kitchen in a big green trashcan. Mmmm. Dead animal in an old trash can.

Needless to say, the restaurant was shut down when health department officials were informed of the caper, and its owner confessed to having picked up the slain beast from the side of the interstate.

While this makes one wonder how many times Red Flower staff had done this without getting caught, the big question here is which dish would work with deer substituted in. Moo Goo Gai Pan?
