As children, all of us probably had at least one scale model car that we would pretend to drive around our bedrooms. While that was all well and good, didn't we really want a scale model that was the actual size of one of our dream cars?

Yes. Yes we did. And thankfully, someone has done just that.

Evanta Motor Company, which you might remember from the "brand-new" carbon fiber DB4 Zagato they just built, is back with something truly incredible.

This car, which is an exact replica of the Aston Martin DBR1 that Carroll Shelby and Roy Salvadori drove to victory at Le Mans in 1959. The big difference is that this one cannot be driven. It's the perfect toy for Junior to sit in and pretend to drive. And since there is a 0 percent chance that he'll start an engine and run over the entire family, it should also give you peace of mind.

It can roll short distances and also be disassembled into two pieces for ease of transport. It's going up for auction soon, just don't expect it to be anywhere near affordable... unless you can afford a real Aston.
