Yes, you do most of the work yourself, but for many of us we lack the time or resources to fix every problem. How do you then trust someone with your baby?
When my family needed to get our Volvo 240 fixed, we went to a family friend who runs a shop that actually builds racing Mazdas and some Volvos. You may remember one such Volvo, as it raced as the official Jalopnik car in LeMons for a while. We got great work and some new Volvo turbo wheels, too. If there's any lesson we can learn from the experience, it's that if you want the highest quality work done, go to a shop that builds racecars.
How do you find a trustworthy mechanic to work on your pride and joy?
