The British Grand Prix Was Ridiculously WetS

If you happened to be there or saw the news reports, last weekend's British Grand Prix in Northampton was a wet mess.

On Friday and Saturday, torrential downpours forced race officials to turn away thousands of fans, while dirt parking lots became mud-filled rally stages. Traffic was backed up around the circuit for hours. The Guardian called the whole situation "apocalyptic."

But wet conditions can make for some pretty cool-looking racing, and drivers who know what they're doing can use the situation to their advantage. This great shot of Williams driver Pastor Maldonado during the qualifying round shows what they were up against.
