This Bus Driver Is On Probation For Duct Taping A Child's Mouth Shut

It seems that Upstate New York may be earning a reputation as the "Weird School Bus Crime" Capital of the world.

Just last month, a group of kids from Greece, NY bullied school bus monitor Karen Klein to tears. They received a one year suspension and she received $600,000 in donations.

But before that was even a twinkle in the eyes of these young students, 63-year-old Queensbury bus driver Marjorie Jones was putting duct tape over the mouth of a 7-year-old disabled student, according to The Associated Press.

The student, who is unable to speak and has the cognitive abilities of a toddler, had her mouth taped shut on a 2010 bus ride.

Jones, who could have faced a year in prison, now has three years of probation to look forward to along with 100 hours of community service. She said that she didn't mean any harm and the act was "playful."

She has one strange definition of playful.
