A Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan man decided to jog down Mack Avenue Monday evening, but aside from a pair of socks, he was stark naked.
That he was tazed, slammed face first into the ground and handcuffed by police is neither surprising nor amusing. The string of eyewitness comments on Twitter, however, is priceless.
Outside of New York City, running around town naked is actually considered an event. And now that the world has Twitter, it's much easier to share the hilarity you've witnessed with the wider world of buffoonery seekers. Otherwise, who would have ever known that a naked dude ran down Mack Avenue in Grosse Pointe Woods? No one, save the people who actually saw him and those they told at the bar after work.
Luckily, we all have access to eyewitness comments and their responses. This, my friends, is news. Let's go through it in steps. First, there's a pair of tweets from some guy named Sal Rizzo, who actually saw and quickly photographed the guy running nonchalantly down the street in his socks.
Wtffffffffff Naked guy running down Mack! Hahahahahah http://pic.twitter.com/bzBwb1gv (WARNING NSFW - Ed.)
funniest shit I've ever seen
You can see everything that happened next in this Storify of the event:
The answer to another Tweep's question "What would happen if we all decided to run naked down Mack??" depends upon how many tazers the cops have handy, I suppose. At long last, we get a little closure to this mystery man's au naturel dash, when Sal tweets his followers concerning the guy's apparent substance abuse problem.
Just found out that the naked guy on Mack was on meth. I knew he was fucked up
According to his latest tweets, Sal got $100 from the Detroit News for publishing his outstanding naked guy pic. Considering the fact that former Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) didn't get paid for publication of his infamous Twitter weiner photo, I'd say Sal did fairly well for himself.
