Ferraris and alcohol don't mix. Neither do Ferraris and tramways. But all three came together in Munich during the wee hours this past Sunday morning. Authorities said that the driver, whose blood alcohol level was found to be 0.086%, was driving too fast when he smashed through a metal barrier onto a tramway running along the median strip.
The hammered 52-year-old Hun driving the Ferrari 458 through posh Munich-Grünwald had his 52-year-old wife sitting next to him when a metal barrier meant to keep cars off the tramway ripped the car's passenger door completely off. The wife suffered only minor bruises, but the pecuniary damage is going to leave a mark. The driver's vulgar display of Italian power cost an estimated $263,812.
Good thing the tram wasn't coming.
