The fact Saab never did anything in a conventional manner is just one of the many reasons we're going to miss the recently deceased car brand. As you can see from this 1974 commercial, Saab's quirky take on making cars extended even into their advertising.

While most car companies spent their advertising dollars explaining why their car was better than the competition, the Swedish brand put together this commercial highlighting the strong points of their competition while still managing to explain why their Saab was better.

From the spacious interior of a (super cool) Audi 100 to the performance of a BMW 2002s overhead cam engine, Saab wanted you to believe their car had all of the desirable attributes of the competition. Even if we question a few of their comparisons (durable Volvo-like construction?) it's hard not to enjoy Saab's unique take on advertising their unique take on automobiles.
