While Group B rally cars were terrorizing Europe's forests in the early Eighties, equally balls-out turbocharged hoonmobiles ruled the half-tarmac/half-dirt circuits of rallycross. One brave Beetle decided to take on the monsters.
This was the eighth round of the 1982 European Rallycross championship held at Lydden Hill. For a race with no historical significance whatsoever, it's pretty damn fun to watch. Look at that Beetle spanking that... Beetle.
