The 2013 Volvo V40 Is Sweden's Answer To The Audi A3

The world was supposed to meet Volvo's new hatchback at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, but a French car magazine just leaked this grainy photo to us all. You're looking at Sweden's answer to the Audi A3 and the BMW 1-Series.

This is going to be a make-or-break car for the Swedish/Chinese company. If you're wondering how big it's going to be, it'll split the difference between the old C30 hatch and the V60 wagon.

The V40 is expected to launch in Europe this summer for 26,000 Euros. A mid range 1-series or A3 costs almost exactly the same.

Do you think this squiggle-butt Swede has what it takes to win sales from the established German brands?
