Have you ever wondered what happens to all those old cars which turn into neither steel scrap nor gleaming restorations? Cars which simply fall out of the life cycle of cars and fade away. Alícia Rius has. She’s a photographer from Spain who describes her work as a “search for hidden treasures”. Her latest project, From the backseat of my car, shows the view out of cars which have passed the point of no return between car life and car death, not quite cars anymore but not quite landscape yet, a place where wildflowers and dashboard buttons mingle.
