Last year, Aston Martin's V12 Zagato concept debuted to a flush, veal-complected crowd at Italy's Villa D'Este. This year, the Zagato-massaged Vantage collabo's going into production, and according to GTspirit.com, this is it.
You remember the V12 Zagato's back story. On the 50th anniversary of the DB4GT Zagato, Aston Martin and Italian design house Zagato built a one-off homage for the high-end auto-show circuit, then built a couple more and raced them in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring. Somewhere along the line, the company decided to build a short run of 150 cars to satisfy one-percenter Aston fans' expressed Zagato lust. We certainly expressed such lust of our own.
GTspiritsays Aston Martin recently held a private viewing of the production model for Aston owners and assorted insiders at an event in Vienna, ahead of the car's official debut at the Kuwait Concours d' Elegance late this month. Those insiders will get first crack at one of V12 Zagato units, expected to cost around a half-mill when they go on sale in mid-2012.
