According to Ford, their better late than never competitor to the Jeep CJ-5 and the International Scout wasn't just another SUV, it was a four wheel drive sports car. Everywhere it went, the new for 1966 Bronco was blazing a trail of excitement.

Whether you were clearing snow off road or cruising down the road in two wheel drive (without the annoying whine), this vintage advertisement makes it look like the doorless SUV (in roadster form) was comfortable everywhere. Being somewhat familiar with SUVs of this vintage we don't doubt the Broncos ability to fly through the air with ease for a second, but we are fairly skeptical about the claimed "smooth as silk" ride on paved roads.
