Growing up on a farm often means learning to drive wheeled machines as soon as one can reach the pedals. But most farms don't have an Audi R8, nor a parent working to turn his 11-year-old son into the next Sebastian Vettel.

This video from England is one of several posted by "Kart Kid 007," and only seems outrageous for its choice of vehicle and driver. The other videos veer toward a "Toddlers and Tiaras" approach to getting your kids interested in motorsports; the helmet and racesuit look better on a track, and not just clowning around in a German supercar with British personalized plates. That said, the driver has spent some time karting, so the suit is more than just a costume.

We wholeheartedly endorse introducing children to the wonders of driving in safe, controlled environments. We're less enthusiastic about using an Audi R8 as a kind of Hogwarts for gluteal haberdashery. Remember kids: 007 had to earn his license.
