2012 Jaguar XF-R takes its nose job publicS

Playing with the nose of a Jaguar always takes a little delicacy; no other brand has quite as much history wrapped up in its front grille. But the rhinoplasty on the 2012 XF-R made things better, mostly.

The front of the XF-R receives LED headlamps and larger lower intakes, giving it a more cohesive look. The XF-R maintains its 510 hp supercharged V8, but mated to a new 8-speed automatic transmission. European buyers can also choose a 2.2-liter 4-cylinder diesel with 187 hp, as Jaguar tests the lower bounds of how much power buyers will sacrifice for fuel economy in an luxury sedan.
