It's the concentration of batshit among the modest cars that makes Geneva such a fun show. Geneva's where we first laid eyes on Count Von Koenigsegg's sleds. This year, the Count showed up with the Agera R. Eight-9-10! 1099hp!
Seriously, though. The more potent Agera — the Agera R — has a mathematical top speed of 275 mph. Whether anyone can make that happen in the physical world — perhaps owing to the adjustable rear wing — remains to be seen, but still the five-liter turbocharged V8 produces 885 lb/ft total, pulling it from 0-62 in 2.9 seconds. The power's put down by a bespoke seven-speed, twin-clutch gearbox by Cima, hooked to an electronically-controlled differential. Brakes are carbon-ceramic — 15.5" disks at the front and 15" at rear.
Oh, and you can get it with a roof-mounted cargo box for those hybrid skiing-touge weekends we all dream of.
