The Exagon Furtive e-GT: Zut Alors!

Discontent to let Fisker claim the market for as-yet-produced extended range electric vehicles, French racing firm Exagon will unveil the Furtive at the Paris Motor Show, claiming a dual-electric motor setup capable of generating 340 hp.

Like the Fisker Karma and the Chevrolet Volt, the Furtive will sport some kind of liquid-fuel engine that will recharge the batteries once they've drained. The batteries themselves will charge the twin Siemens electric motors. Ranges? 250 miles on battery power alone, and double that with the extender. Exagon also claims a 0-62 mph time of 3.5 seconds.

The Furtive is scheduled to go into production in 2012. Given the history of similar ventures, that means we should hear about its first delay in production about a year from now. [Turbo.fr]
