Mansory White Ghost Is Not Doing It Right

As far as nose-upturned luxury cars go, the Rolls Royce Ghost is a thoroughly handsome and respectable machine. Which explains why Mansory found it necessary to slather three copies with chrome bits and gaudy wood.

This kind of thing isn't new for Mansory, they've been taking perfectly good cars and making them caricatures of every obnoxious automotive trend for quite some time. For the $152,465 White Ghost, they've dipped it in white pearl paint, given it Opel Insignia OPC front bumper slashes, Panamera fender vents, side skirts, a duck tail spoiler and a very unfortunate bamboo wood interior. On the upside, they've also re-tuned the engine controller giving the 6.6-liter V12 a bump of 67 HP and 59 lb-ft, bringing the total power output to 629 HP and 634 lb-ft of torque. That's enough for a run from 0-60 MPH in a scant 4.1 seconds, not bad for looking like a rolling tribute to Liberace.

We've heard through the grapevine buyers will be required at all times to wear pointy, Italian leather slip-on boat shoes with white pants, a Hollister shirt unbuttoned to the navel and too much cologne. [WCF]
