Yep, that's a Lambo. This elegant pile of angles was produced using a 3-D modeling process that its makers have dubbed the Lo Res Project. How they made it is both simple and fascinating.

As you might expect, the shape above was built in a computer. The people responsible started with a complex, polygon-based digital model of a real Countach, then gradually decreased the model's resolution, removing polygons and detail. The resulting shape is simple, complicated, and immediately recognizable.

The program is the result of a collaboration between European clothing company United Nude and the software company INUS Technology. It's produced elegant, abstract models of everything from motorcycles to wine glasses. (Step-by-step graphic breakdowns of some of them can be found here.)
