They're going to emphasis newer products like the Equinox and CTS-V so people don't start returning Cobalts.

The plan was introduced by GM's Bob Lutz on a phone conference with reporters.

"Everything we've launched over the last two years has been world class. Our current lineup can be compared with any volume producer's lineup anywhere on the globe," said Lutz. "The challenge is... most consumers don't know it. We need to close the monumental chasm between the lineup and the public perception of the product lineup."
