Flying Fish Brewing Company in New Jersey is creating a line of limited-edition beers named after the exits on the state's notorious Turnpike. The only trouble is the New Jersey Turnpike Authority and MADD don't like it.
The company's motto is "Proudly Brewed in New Jersey: You Got a Problem with That?" and it's creating a line of beers named after each of the Turnpike's exits, starting with Exit 4 and moving up the chain. Trouble is both the Turnpike Authority and Mothers Against Drunk Driving somehow think naming a beer after a road is tantamount to endorsing drinking and driving. Crazy as that sounds, Flying Fish has agreed to print a disclaimer about the concerns of both groups with editions going forward. Perhaps next Smokey the Bear should go after Schlenkerla Rauchbier for advocating arson and PETA will strike out at Flying Dog for animal cruelty. [Breitbart]
