How can a legit (that is to say, "legit") LeMons racer know that those other guys didn't blow past the $500 limit when building their cars? They know because the judges sweat everyone!

Actually, not all cars get a thorough inspection. We waved a Kia Sephia right on past the inspection area, pausing only to write a big zero on the tech sheet, and a certain 4AGZE-powered MR2 managed to sneak its powerplant past us (we'll be seeing them later in the penalty box).
